统治也门数十年的总统萨利赫(Ali Abdullah Saleh), 一向被媒体定性为“美国反恐的
忠实盟友”, 于是他的倒台被视为美国的灾难。这很好理解, 其实按照某些人的思维,
没有哪个独裁者的倒台不是灾难的、尤其是伊斯兰地区, 不要说萨利赫这样的, 连中东
疯狗卡大佐在“反恐”事业中也是不可或缺的, 甚至连非伊斯兰的南苏丹脱离巴希尔政
权的统治也“未必是福音”, 好了我们还是先回到也门。
Saleh真是“忠实盟友”吗? 他是跟美国合作杀了不少基地分子, 但要配得上“盟友”
这个概念(尤其还有“忠实”或“铁杆”之类的修饰语), 就算不要求他任劳任怨死而后
已, 至少不能两面三刀吧。下面看几个例子(都是远在Arab Spring之前的事)。

After the killing of Usama bin Laden in Pakistan, few American voters
believe that country is an ally of the United States in the war against
terrorism. Moreover, most doubt Pakistan is worthy of continued U.S. foreign
aid.
That’s according to a Fox News poll released Wednesday.
