游客选择去Island in the Sky, 因为其离Arches 近；少部分游客去Needles因其风景
好，几乎没有人去Maze因为太偏远。

发帖数: 398 | 23 早上启程前往Canyonlands-Islands in the Sky，再次途经Capitol Reef，gg再次
表示Capitol Reef在这一系列的国家公园中比较逊色的观点。在进313的时候我们做了
一个非常错误的决策。虽然我们知道油不太够，也看到在313和119的交接口有一家加油
站，但是gg认为在Canyonlands附近一定和其它国家公园一样有加油的地方，于是就错
过了这家不在我们路侧的加油站。而我在看到了一个打叉的油箱的图标之后竟然没有反
应过来图标的含义。一直到visitor center我们才得到了没有加油站的确认。这一来回
，耽误了一个小时的宝贵时间。于是gg鼓励我至少要把这个告诉版上的兄弟姐妹们：
Canyonlands里面没有油，一定要做好充分的准备。
Canyonlands比较让我们失望，一来公园条件较差，没油少水。二来景色并不宜人
，也不排除审美疲劳的可能性。我们游览了Mesa Arch, Grand view point, Whale
Rock, Upheaval Dome to second overlook。其中，也就是Mesa A |

我是12月初的时候去的，5个公园5天感觉非常好，每个公园都有值得一走的trail。
zion
－angels landing一定要去，即使有雪也能到第一个viewpoint，景色非常漂亮。
－three pools一般
－weeping rock很短，顺路就去了，很有特点的一个小景
bryce
－sunrise to bryce point rim，在崖顶走，远观hoodoos
－Navajo loop ＋ queens garden可以当作一个大loop，近处观察hoodoos
－peekaboo走了一小半，雪太大放弃了
capitol reef
－hickman bridge，第一个arch
－grand wash＋先驱者那里忘了叫啥了，主要是开两段unpaved road比较有意思
－the tanks，说是之后0.2miles，结果走了好久，最后的tank也让人很失望
caynon lands
－mesa arch，arch后边就是峭壁，胆子大的还可以上到arch上站一站

望自己能写下来有个记忆，但是由于总是觉得文笔太差，加上懒，竟然无一写下来。后
来随着时光流逝，很多鲜活的记忆竟然也逐渐模糊起来了。所以这次还是逼自己无论如
何写点东西留给自己－－其实完全是流水帐，文笔实在太差。后来好几个朋友问到，如
果我们的旅程能对后来者有点借鉴作用，也算是第二个作用了。
第一天 (12月22日)出发
东部时间5点多的飞机,预定到LV是当地时间下午9:40,但是由于飞机晚点,加上租车公司
是FOX,要倒2次Shuttle才到,比较折腾,所以到了旅馆check in已经是西部时间12点多,
东部时间3点多了,非常困。下次要飞到LV 或CA还是尽量早点出发早点到达。
租FOX的车是因为他家比较便宜，之前又不知道他的地点这么偏。取车时咨询upgrade,
结果他有一辆4驱的吉普 (Wrangler)，想想要开山路，而且不知道是否有雪，还是加了
些钱从compact升级到4驱。8天税后才190刀，不过非常耗油。

发帖数: 752 | 27 刚从grand circle游回来，这么多天的国家公园玩下来，确实挺累的，建议连续玩国家
公园不要超过7天吧。
父母过来参加我们的婚礼，所以婚礼之后顺便带父母出去玩一圈。父母喜欢自然风光，
所以就准备在黄石和grand circle中间选一个。由于决定比较晚，很难定到黄石里面的
旅馆了，所以就选了grand circle。因为是7月份，天气比较热，所以计划每天上午和
傍晚游玩，下午最热的时间用来开车或者在旅店休息，毕竟在100度以上的高温下爬山
还真不是好玩的。
7月2号出发，7月10号回来，一共8天，东部飞到las vegas，傍晚到达，租了一辆红色
camry，还真够喜庆的。第一天住在aria，比预期的5星水平有些差距，房间不是很大，
不过那个电视控制挺好玩的，在床上躺着就不用下来了。每个房间还送了100刀的
credit，我们用来吃了顿buffet，感觉还不错，蟹腿有点咸，没有什么太出彩的地方，
比较平庸，不过既然是free food，也不能要求太高了。之后vegas的灯红酒绿略去不表。

国家公园。由于是携老人共游，且冬天日照时间短，计划不能安排得过于aggressive。
本版已有不少关于Grand Circle的大作，我把行程和简单的游记贴在这里(楼下），也
给有志冬天游Utah或者带父母的同仁做个参考。

插曲1：也许是因为天气原因，航空公司在最后关头（当天1 am通知）摆了我们一道。

其实很多人也有MITBBS Depression，bbs为了吸引眼球，增加流量，总把一些很偏激的
，争议性很强的帖子放在首页，把生活一些阴暗面选择性放大，看了让人很desperate。
我是上了MITBBS才知道有“猥琐男”“凤凰男”“外F女”“老将”“小将”“千老”之
类乱七八糟的标签。我大学的时候最尊敬的那个老师跟我说过，“其实看不惯别人是自
己涵养不够”，看多了这些乱七八糟的帖子，其实真的会让人变得过于critical，或者
按他的说法“没涵养”。其实心理医生也建议，保持心情愉快的方法之一就是不要看新
