ungroomed，bump不大并且分散，下面一半是groomed。
事先声明：我不是carver，视频里也没想carve，请版上众高手指点几个疑问：
ungroomed部分：我在bump之间turn的时候总是tip间距比tail近，但不是Full-on
pizza type，这个有什么办法可以控制么？
groomed部分：膝盖能并住，但是脚还是没法并紧，这个怎么破？
虽然有找借口的嫌疑，但是我的板detune了underfoot（为了park，目前看这是个错误
），各种抓不住，所以可能对心理有点影响？ |

发帖数: 3431 | 9 ungroom可不是那么容易就能master的。不太可能网上给你说两句，你就知道怎么滑了。
如果非要让我说，你如果愿意把ungroomed道当做挑战，肯琢磨或者有人教带，从简单
点的慢慢练习逐渐加难，差不多滑个二十到四十天你可以比较轻松滑吧。
要是就一年随便滑个几次，还是老老实实groomer上更能enjoy滑雪的乐趣。
我们西雅图这儿有位单板高手，滑双黑有如平地，人家那是每年滑五六十天练出来的！ |

上周末趁着 Blizzard 2013，本来想去Sunapee的，结果朋友先到，竟然说parking lot
满了，工作人员不让进了！车子要排队，出一辆车才放一辆进去，我还是第一次见滑雪
场这么爆满的，不过也难怪，几年难得一遇的大雪，人自然会很多
于是临时打电话给Pats peak，他们说parking也爆满，不过他们分上午场跟下午场，中
午左右上午场的人会离开，所以会空出很多位置，Sunapee只有all day lift，估计很
少会有人中午走的，所以我们就改道杀去Pats Peak了
到了PP，工作人员起码让你去parking lot里溜达，因为断断续续有离开的人，溜了两
圈果然找到各位，而且还是rock star parking，二话不说，开滑！
细节就不多说了，这次是我至今划过雪况最好的一次（没去过西部滑）。雪踩上去跟滑
起来有“吱吱”的声音，很软，同时也有ungroomed那种bumpy的感觉，完全就是另一种
风味
PS：pats peak小诀窍，看那个4号 lift，由于起点比较高，所以队非常的短，可能有
人以为只是服务黑道的，但是实际上坐上去之后所有道都可以... 阅读全帖 |

发帖数: 4765 | 12 前天周六早上六点，从温哥华出发。一小时四十分钟后到达Blackcomb。
到Lifts八点多。EDGE卡只要刷一次就算进来了，而不像Snoqualmie，每次上都要
扫。后来知道为什么了——太多太多的Lifts了。
第一次上Solar Coaster，回头看，群山连绵，尽在脚下。我惊叹，真高啊。
为什么看不到山顶呢？
带我来的夫妇说，山顶在另一面,还要再做lift上去。
十五分钟的缆车坐下来，面对的立刻就是蓝道。
因为来得早，只有我们三个人。一路如猛虎下山，五分钟的路程下来，好生爽快。
这只是个预热。
然后换一个缆车。Excalibur Gondola。再下来，又是长长的蓝道。
雪道之长，从下缆车的地方，根本看不到base。与之相比，Snoqualmie根本就是玩
具。真不知道以前为什么要去那里。
接下来，左一个lift,又一个lift，由这对夫妇带着转，眼花缭乱，根本不记得缆
车的名字了。
差不多的时候，他们说这边马上人会多，我们去那边。
要经过一段绿道。对我来说，却还不如蓝道。这“绿道”是在悬崖边，只有不到十
米宽，让人窒息。每隔十几米，就有一个醒目的牌子，白底红字“ＣＬＯＳＥＤ”... 阅读全帖 |

，侧身平行急停，因为没有groom过，雪松，雪板停的太快，没有足够slide的缓冲，板
停死了，我身体还在动，立刻就摔出去了，那时候我还在教一女生，本来是想耍酷的，
结果，出糗出大发了。 |

的极限，我看至少一半的钱白花了，而且滑几年就平台，可能会觉得没意思。
在安全的downhill/uphill/backcountry区域，扎扎实实地学习和练习，挑战自己极限
绝对安全，永远有新鲜感。 |

目前就头盔没时间找打折的，买了个贵点的
板子鞋子都可以买旧的再swap 出去，花不了多少钱
票比较贵
不过是一次性的
不过不用挑战极限了哈

ski swap 每年 11 月左右都有，
有的是教会组织的，免费的
有的是学校组织的，收钱带 donation 性质
小孩的器材肯定用一年就得换
从 ski swap 买，第二年拿去 ski swap 卖掉
只有头盔。。。好像没有 swap 的
送人。。。不知道有人要不 |

climbing。
Prefer trad or ice，但是也爬sports, 能够lead old school trad 5.7, 八月下旬
之后有full rack, 目前只有personal gear和一条60m single rope.
除了climbing, 也玩road cycling和trail running (Mt. St. Hilaire)
冬天攀冰，对Adirondacks地区非常熟悉。冬天也玩xc ski on ungroomed trails or
BC ski。冬天有计划和大家一起去Canadian Rockies攀冰。
开车山路下雪没有问题。
对outdoor partner的经验、性别、年龄、种族都无所谓，只要安全第一。 |

2.目前哪些雪场开比较多的区域？
3.如果滑3个雪场，推荐哪三个(prefer off piste,ungroomed)？有没有值得滑两天的。
4.住哪边比较方便/便宜（motel即可）？

发帖数: 236 | 38 最新雪况估计大家都知道了，刚才新闻说周末Squaw Valley got 36-inch fresh snow，all dry powder，要是这次snow storm能早一周发生该多好？！
周六去Heavenly，雪况就early season而言算是不错了，比较icy，那天贼冷，Dipper Express顶上的温度显示10度，一度还风雪交加，每次脱掉手套打电话短短几分钟都感觉手冻得发麻。
周日去Kirkwood（opening day！），个人还是更偏好Kirkwood一点，虽然只有一个lift running，山下杂草和树枝还露在外面，但是雪的质量更好更松软（第一天，呵呵），大部分雪道都ungroommed，滑起来很爽也很累。
周日回家可以说是惨不忍睹，本该走88 West，担心路况不好临时改走88 East，然后395北上转I-80，绕了个大圈子多跑了140迈最后还是在I-80上遭遇snow-storm，折腾了8个小时才回家。 |

it is not big(about 2000-2500acres) but has some terrian for every skill
level.
nob hill is for 1st timer and has 3 different routes down with different
slope angles.
Go Christmas Tree or Jerome Hill if your friend starts to be boring with nob
hill.
Mt lincoln serves some very very nice ungroom/steep runs. |

on both groom and ungroomed terrain.
Dynastar contact 8 is more like a curving ski, good for groomed runs, but
will be painful on crud.
No idea about fischer white heat. Fischer is a good brand for Randonee skis,
not sure about their downhill products

Last snow was 1/2/09 4-6" per squaw's snowfall tracker.
It was a pretty icy day.
Everything else(traffic,parking location,runs,lift line,dinner)were great.
most of the time were spent on ungroomed runs served by kt-22 and granite
chef. It was a fun mixture of snow/ice/bumps/steeps/rocks/trees/sun, and
very important, a ski buddy.
I took some video clips and pictures on the last lift ride and run from KT-
22(a quad express with 1800' vertical; recognized as one of the |

all other major runs down are ungroomed black diamond. squaw does not rate
any double black.
options:
A. take the way directly down the lift.
B. turn left(facing hill),traverse behind the big rock you saw on your left
when you taking lift, and go down the first slope on your left.
C. same as B,keep you speed and rush to the top of Olympic Lady chair(this
one i haven't seen it running ever.) some hiking needed if you lost your
speed.

大部分backcountry ski滑的雪道坡度也就是血场的蓝道到双黑,基本上落入了最佳雪崩
角度之内(30-45度)
那种从50度以上的大坡上滑下来的, 已经算是极限运动的范畴了,属于backcountry ski
的特例
至于坐直升机上去的,那是heli ski,和backcountry ski没啥关系 |

You can make the perfect text-book short radius edged turn every single time
on a flat and smooth slope, then you go to a steep ungroomed trail with
powdery uneven bumps everywhere and you can't even initiate the first turn..
. Some "fundamentals" can only truly be practiced under the right
environment...
At any rate, enough of this unnecessary talk. I'm pretty sure we'll get
another group going next season and put some theories to practice. |

groomed runs, because you love long and stiff skis that offers plenty of
stability and can carve beautifully into corduroy surfaces.
However, this skillset is very different than the ones needed by the
backcountry lovers, whose weapon of choice are the big fat skis so they can
float on the 3ft ungroomed cruds.
There are true masters who excels at both, those are the ultimate ski bums.

They don't take the same route down, that's why you didn't see many of them
. Skiing on ungroomed backcountry snow is quite different. For backcountry,
ski is the way to go. Sorry riders.
