claim original research or breakthrough for those uncited papers.
My recent experience revealed that it is relatively difficulty to get
supporting letters for those not well cited paper. |

If this was the case, usually you would able to provide a few other uncited
references with the similar correlation.
Also think that quite some journal / conference has a page limit - one thing
to cut are those not so related references.
