申请英国签证的文章不多，所以在此分享一下自己成功申请英国签证的经历。
申请过程：
申请英国签证在UK Border Agency的网站上面有详细的介绍。 如果有什么问题可以找
英国使馆的商业伙伴 WorldBridge。联系他家可以打付钱的声讯电话，也可以用免费的
Email. 我用Email发现他们回信速度还是很快的。
我去参加学术会议申请的属于Business, General型签证，在美国都需要在网上填写好
申请表格并且需要付签证费和邮费：

填完后会让你预定一个时间和地点(通常是最近的USCIS)去按指纹，并且给你一份指纹
预约证明。按指纹需要这份证明和护照。按完指纹后两周内将准备的申请材料寄到指纹
预约证明上的地址等待结果就行

All VISA has to be processed by mail to UK NY consulate.
I just did it back in the end of June. The whole process took about 1 week
if you pay $150 more for premier processing.
For Biometric collection, I was told that some place (the one on Wilshire
BLVD) allow instantaneous visit. ( I didn't try, I went to El monte center
by appoint (2 days gap between online submission and collection) and send

的学校是不是不如美国这样对外国人友善。想请问一下这里又没有在英国当faculty的
同修，能否简单的介绍一下那边的情况。另外请问一下在英国的身份问题好解决吗？多

象我在UK的实验室， 大厅装潢地就象小酒吧， 冰箱， 咖啡机， 微波炉等等，厨房设
备几乎很全。
晚上， 打开一些彩灯， 喝点咖啡， 听听音乐。 累了， 躺在沙发睡睡， 真的很爽。
中午的时候， 一帮弟弟妹妹哥哥姐姐之类就扎堆吃午饭， 期间，八卦是少不了的。
偶算是比较懒的，不喜欢带中饭到学校，尽管有2年，偶家和实验室只有5分钟的步行距
离，离教室只有11分钟的步行距离，
但是偶中饭还是喜欢在外面吃， 主要就是图格方便。
学校周围的馆子， 最常去就是Fazoli，一个意大利馆子。 这个馆子除了你自己点餐以
外， 服务生还时不时地免费派送Garlic Bread Stick.
这种面包非常好吃， 我经常中饭会吃5个左右。一般而言，在这家饭店， 我通常 会点
一个套餐，大概3.45左右， 免费领取若干garlic stick break,
这样一顿中饭就可以打发了。
除了这家馆子外， campus周围还有 subway, 麦当劳等快餐店， 这些没有什么好介绍的
。
在Euclid Ave和rose street交界处， 也有几家 |

用全？比分最接近的时候 应该叫个暂停 一举反超 估计Uconn就歇了
下半场Daniels3犯下去的那2min就该冲内线 要么突破 要么背打 弄不进就抢板 二次进攻
结果是啥都没看到
他执教风格不错，Kentucky有点像马刺，纪律严明，落后也打得有板有眼，从不勉强出

去年九月，再次志愿者了Ironman Wales，企鹅头脑一热，没有调查研究，直接sign up
了Ironman UK 70.3。同时加入了我们local的triathlon club。因为当时骨折刚刚3个
月，不良于行，于是开始了酱油的骑车训练，直到12月初，太危险作罢。这一搁置，直
到2月底，俱乐部开始组织group ride才又重新启动。同时开始跟Speedo Pace Club的
program练习游泳；还有就是和FIRST Plan开始跑步。
由于跑步没有build base，骑车也很二的push large gear，同时又是伤残初愈，企鹅3
月就受伤了。先是左膝疼，然后是右脚跟（骨折的那支）AT。听了俱乐部教练和Physio
的建议，为了把伤痛的损伤控制到最小，果断趴窝，该停跑停跑，该不骑就不骑。4月
厚着脸皮开始参加俱乐部coached swim session，个人自由泳的水平突飞猛进，由令人
发指的慢，升级为非常非常的慢。。。很后悔没有早参加这些session。游泳这个东西
，闭门造车是效率最低的，无论你看多少书和录像，都没有靠谱教练的一两句点拨来得
