发帖数: 3522 | 5 Labor day长周末，我和lg在YF2006老大的带领下，去爬了Kings peak。
Kings Peak地处High Uinta Wilderness，海拔13528英尺（4123米），是犹他州的最高
峰。Approach Kings的路线有好几条，最短也是最popular的一条是从Henrys Fork
Trailhead，没有任何技术难度，但是往返至少有32 mi。一般大家都是做2天或3天的
backpacking。
9月12日，周六
出行之前的几天，一直关注着天气预报，预测是整个周末都会有雷阵雨，着实让人郁闷
。根据google的地图， 从家开到trailhead大概要3个小时，而且最后的20麦都是土路
。由于心里没底土路的状况到底如何，我们本着赶早不赶晚的原则，早上7点半，接着
老大YF，就赶紧出发了。实际上土路的状况相当好，开个40 麦/小时没问题。不到10点
就顺利的开到了trailhead。吃了点东西，修整一下，10点半准时出发。向南边的天空
望去，的确有很多黑云，不过现在也管不了那么多了，走到哪儿算哪儿吧。好处是天气
十分凉爽，也不晒。

笨鸟要先飞！所以我们早上6点半就出发了，不过我们的路线本来也比从Dollar Lake
出发要长些。令人兴奋的是，天空还算晴朗，登顶的机会应该很大。
清早的Henrys Fork Basin
太阳刚刚升起，月亮还没有落下
一路缓慢爬升。不知道是因为风大，还是刚起床没状态，还是海拔高，居然走起来气喘
吁吁的。前方就是Gunsight Pass了。
Pass上，另一边的Painter Basin。Uinta的水还真是多，大大小小的草塘子无数。
一米阳光，呵呵
事先功课没做好。本来计划是走一个shortcut，从Gunsight Pass向南，下到一个
meadow上，沿着meadow插回主路，再向上爬到Anderson Pass。结果，一不留神，被前
人带到一个更短的shourtcut：沿着Pass右侧的斜坡，一路直上到一个ridge，再下到
Anderson Pass。Milage估计是短了不少，但是时间/精力一点没少费，因为从ridge下
去的一路都是大大小小的碎石，也不知道哪一块石头稳，哪一个不稳，所以每一步都要
很小心。

一觉睡到自然醒，其实也就是6点半，没办法，住在帐篷里睡不踏实，：（ 吃完早饭，
收拾好东西，也差不多8点半了。今天又是个大晴天，看起来我们的运气还真不错呢。
回程走的是dollar lake一线。俗话说不走回头路嘛。
路过一个牧羊人住的小木屋。与别的wilderness地区不同，Uinta是允许牧人来放羊的
，据说夏天henrys fork basin被grazing的很厉害。我们这次没有碰到，也许因为天气
冷了吧。
Dollar Lake，书上说，这是这一带最美的湖水。我咋觉得还不如bear lake呢。可能审
美疲劳了？
Dollar lake trail一路上的风景。美则美已，不过少了点变化啊。还是西面这条线景
色更丰富。中间三角形的peak应该就是Kings Peak 。
途遇两个ranger和他们的lama。白色的lama很高傲，总是昂着头，摆着pose，而且不可
让我摸。棕色的lama一直在whining，ranger说那是因为他知道要回家了，呵呵
归途花絮。。。
遇到真正的牛仔啦。牛群跑到了路中间，牛仔爸爸正在赶牛

overnight可能还凑或，day hike就。。。
今年没啥特别计划，有时间的话，想去uinta多backpacking几次。
我们今年也还想爬timp，趁野花盛开的时候，不过想overnight，不知你有没有兴趣？
lone peak, mt nebo也很有诱惑力啊，你什么时候爬，招呼一声吧。 |

not many of them are great because of the weather, which makes it harder to
go through them.
By the way, most of them are quite similar to yours so you are not missing
much. :-) |

Back to the time when we did it, we never did any hike before that, and we
made it. I am sure you are fitter than I was back then, :) |

Wasatch, Squatters, Uinta
主要都出Ale,偶尔出点lager
选酒主要看你的口味是重是轻了
我个人口味比较轻，就喝Squatters的小狗Golden Ale
但是各个厂牌都有自己的高度酒，好比belgian white ale, IPA
口味重的啤酒超市不卖，要去liquor store
Pub不要去squatters这种酒庄。毫无娱乐
去绿猪这种专业pub |
