re.好不容易发现一个读科耶夫的人，进来交流下。
我觉得你对科耶夫关于资本主义的理解比较到位，即资本主义是人类历史中终结乃是由
于其克服了19世纪的那些问题和马克思所说的“矛盾”，并通过工业和技术在全球任何
地方都征服了自然，创造了极大的财富又能“合理”分配。
不过科耶夫是个很复杂的人，左右派通吃，搞哲学和具体事务都是一流，其早年哲学思
想和晚年反思又大不一样，尤其是他弟子如福山1989年所发挥的民主资本主义代表“历
史终结”思想是否是科耶夫之本意，又很难说。下面仅说几条抛砖引玉。

社会科学，甚至很多自然科学都是利用相关关系下结论，有多少是真正通过大量试验证
明因果的？讨论数据也不能选择性失明啊。
毒品被认为毒害身心，毒害社会，所以联邦政府发动禁毒，毒品战争。每年数十亿美元
用在这上面，监狱里关N多万的吸毒，贩毒的人。每个学校都标为无毒区，今天效果怎
么样？我想大家心里都有答案。
很不幸现在又有人拿枪屠杀了，跟中国那个拿刀屠杀的一样，发生在小学，另人悲愤。
不少人喊着要禁枪，也有政客提议。但是禁枪或者更严格的关于枪支控制的法律，可以
看看今天禁毒的结果----要吸毒的人还是照样吸，贩毒的照样，甚至都贩到学校里面了
（如果你家里有孩子读中学或者大学可以问问看）。那么是否该跟禁毒一样，用更严格
法律来打击枪支？还是打击使用枪支罪犯？或许严格的打击使用枪击犯罪的法律会更有

断丰满这一制度。
既然是一种文化，那么民主就不能仅仅局限于选举 （包括所有选举形式）。 仅仅只有
选举制度的民主仅仅只是多数暴政， 没有任何意义。民主制度和民主社会的基石是批
判性的公民教育，批判性思维，和公民积极参与政治过程。 否则，民主就仅仅剩下选
举框架，有名无实。
比如11月4日通过的加州proposition 8 (AKA Hate)，对同性婚姻从法律上禁止，就是
“非自由民主过程”的体现。美国人大都懂得democracy,但很多却不懂得civil
liberty. 少数族群（不论种族，性别，性取向等）的利益不能dependent on多数族群
的施舍。有很多利益是yes 和 no的问题，而不是主观愿望的问题。同性权利就是一例
。可惜受到过多宗教影响和政教尚未完全分离的现状，加州演出了一场另人痛心的
tyranny of the masses （詹姆斯，麦迪逊）。
民主过程沦为“两个烂苹果当中选一个更烂的”例子数不胜数，其中很多是非常极端的
