Sure, 2000 level player G F/S S are doing that, LP RBP is not a loop,
instead, it is no spin punch.
Actually one side LP penholders in bay area, most of them don't twiddle.
it takes talent to twiddle fast enough to take it advantage.
Usually it is easier to twiddle for serve/serve return just like
ZJQ is doing, but a lot more difficult to twiddle during a rally.

btw, normally ppl are the other way, twiddle to smooth side to attack.
LP is good at defense not offense, so u need to improve your skills to
attack
with smooth rubber side... otherwise, u would stay at current level for a
while. |

Peter Chen to new style Dojo's Amy for penholders.
Amy used to play in BJ team, i just wonder if Peter could also
twiddle to attack, can he play as well as Amy?
I play in the same style as Amy but a lot more on smooth side,
she plays LP with 80%, whereas i play LP at most 15%, but i am
getting more confidence to use more LPs. I feel my smooth side
skills have reached almost my potential, but i have a lot to
learn how to use LPs like Amy |

with, glad to see your style is the most similar one from mine, it
reminded myself of my games in 2000 (1750-1800 for a while)
in order to improve, your backhand is weakest, in order to get over 1900,
u need to improve your backhand. 3 ways:
1. run and do some weights, improve ur speed by a lot of HIIT. so that

the next point, it not only made me lead 8:5, it also destroyed his
comeback confidence.
i immediately twiddled my racket to return to his forehand, he was
even more surprised to see my return than i saw his serves
you know: guys like him with a huge powerful forehand would have less
advantage to serve backhand, actually that was his first backhand serve,
let alone standing in the middle of the table.

surprised to see my return to his far forehand with my LP side, flat
ball return.
u know i was exploding his backhand weakness since 3rd game.
he moved fast to his forehand, but it was a little late, so he had
to Gao Diao, i immediately twiddled back my racket and stepped around,
killed his Gao Diao to his backhand to win that point. |

esp can toss backhand serves, also very very few can twiddle as fast as
i do.
I have some skills rated over 2200 if not 2400.
It takes athletic ability to do that, let alone i learned those skills
all by myself in playing real matches. I never practiced multi-ball
serves before. |

twiddled.
my main problem is that i can't focus on TT, these years, i played more
tennis
work out in the gym more. I am no longer as competitive in TT as before.
for me, just for fun, like when i lead 2:0, i would really enjoy playing
full-time LP or becoming a lobber.
i found it is relatively easier for my style to maintain my close-to-peak
level than those 2 wing looper, yesterday i just 3:1 beat a 2 wing looper

This is allowed according to the offical ITTF rule. The technical term
for this movement is "twiddling". ITTF has specific rules about the rackets
including rubbers and blades. However, how to use the racket is up to the
player.
