厅很宽敞，地下室有投币洗衣机和烘干机，有专门的免费停车场，10-15分钟步行到
Tufts,离红线的David Sqaure 6 分钟车程，在93边上， 去downtown非常方便。同时也
有公车去David Square，Havard Square 和橙线。楼下有便利店和各种餐馆，离Tufts
的Gym很近。
不需要中介费和押金，只需首月和末月房租，$640+1/2Utility(gas,water,heating,
electricity and internet)/月。不能养宠物。租期到从7月1日到明年7月底。

比如你小孩如果能进Tufts说不定我还会恭喜
问题在于，这个事情说的不是一般的学生，而是堂堂valedictorian，竟然都进不了藤
校，这个就太可悲了。而且是三所好学校的华人孩子都一样，竟然都跳不出去，这个就
太恐怖了
就是有你这种国人父母，还谈什么反歧视、华人翻身，都别指望了
好好的苗子就这么给耽误了，可以想象父母是怎么教育他们的，就是只知道成绩，从头
到脚唯一厚实的部分是眼镜，其他啥都不懂，整个app唯一看得进去的就是4.0 GPA，这
种人Ivy第二关screening都过不了
你如果真的不觉得这个事情有问题，觉得好学校的顶尖华人学生去了Tufts没有问题，
那你在美国算是白呆了，而且你的下一代也没戏了

Taprogram这种不懂得看数据好坏的，自己去跟Ivy学校比较一下就看出差距了

不客气地说，写那个原文的人，没受过基本的逻辑训练。
用同样的逻辑，也可以这么说："北京孩子进入北京理工大学的机会，是
上海孩子进入北京理工大学的十几倍"... 话可以这么说，可是这样说的
逻辑意义何在？
文字不清楚的地方，是“机会”这个词的含义是什么。真要对“机会”量化，
应该看有多少伊州孩子申请了Tufts，有多少人被录取，取两者的比率。
而不是象原文所说，拿在校生人数去除以州人口总数。
所以说，原文的文字不清楚，逻辑也混乱。 |

他们实验室是营养届的一个旗帜
他们大老板任IOM的营养与食品组的主席多年,还做过AJCN的主编,美国临床营养协会的
前主席,美国营养学会的现主席
而他的导师,也是我们这批人心中的偶像,3年拿到PhD,12-3年上正教授,得奖无数
在Tufts,很容易拿到非常strong的推荐信,比如说,IOM,WHO相关学术机构的数届主席(主
任),都是Tufts营养学院的人担当的
他非常热心,对于每个新人都竭尽全力的帮助,很长时间,他每个月都至少有一次帮人搬
家,直到后来把腰扭了
tufts当时一个学生生了一种严重的慢性病,要长期治疗,他一直充当车夫
偶然作一次好人容易,长期作好人就不是那么容易了 |

称之为小哈佛，本科学生素质非常好，国际关系专业非常热门，因为有Fletcure
School of Diplomacy.
UMass 作为州立大学本科录取难度和整体科研水平跟Tufts都不是一个档次的，当然
Amherst分校的个别专业除外。 |

今天晚上发生太多事情,弄的我LG都火了,一路上差点发生车祸,急诊所的医生简直就是
敲诈....等等,总之,弄的我们半夜还在赶路.在急诊所里,医生给清理了伤口,然后用订

他非常热心,对于每个新人都竭尽全力的帮助,很长时间,他每个月都至少有一次帮人搬
家,直到后来把腰扭了
tufts当时一个学生生了一种严重的慢性病,要长期治疗,他一直充当车夫
偶然作一次好人容易,长期作好人就不是那么容易了 |

发帖数: 14557 | 42 以前在网上搜过bird feeder，知道lowe's有卖。昨天路过lowe's，就进去了。找了半
天才找到，和鸟食在一起。我买的都是Garden Treasures牌的，好像lowe's和这个品牌
有合作关系。
各种各样的bird feeder摆在那，我就花眼了。最后入了外贸协会，跳了这个
金属铁彩色玻璃，据说鸟喜欢色彩斑斓的东东。容量算较大的，主要是粗一些。缺点是
侧面上没有出鸟粮的孔，鸟只能在底层的盘子上吃食。
然后是选鸟粮，同样眼花。问了店里的一个人，她家里就挂bird feeder。鸟粮袋子的
后面也说什么粮吸引什么鸟。最后我看Garden Treasures牌的wild bird food大袋装减
价，就买了一大袋，里面是杂粮包括没去壳的黑皮葵花籽。
回家就放了点鸟粮进去，今天早上鸟们就知道了，基本就是tufted titmouse和
carolina chickadee，热闹得很。不过小红（Northern Cardinal）对这个鸟食器不感
冒，依旧在阳台上找大米吃。
一开始我在屋里隔着玻璃看，逐渐感觉到鸟们似乎一点都不怕我。决定打开玻璃门，并

对中国儿童做转基因大米试验的罪犯找到了！批准这个试验的是浙江省医学科
学院伦理委员会，参与这个试验的是：美国波士顿Tufts大学、中国湖南省疾控中心、
中国国家食品安全和营养研究所和中国浙江医学科学院以及另外两家美国机构。
文章披露：为了进行这个研究，所有儿童吃的转基因大米和菠菜都是用重水（D20
）浇灌的，重水在尖端技术上是宝贵的资源，但对人却是有害的．人是不能饮用重水的
，微生物、鱼类在纯重水或含重水较多(超过80%)的水中，只要数小时就会死亡．为了
进行转基因大米的试验，直接将重水浇灌的有同位素标记的转基因大米给儿童吃，而且
长达35天，每天中午均吃，这样的研究确实应该向试验对象说明全面的潜在危害，特别
是重水的危害。对于生长期的儿童更应该考虑重水可能对儿童生长的影响。毕竟，儿童
不是核反应堆，是不应该使用核减速剂的。
我对在我国儿童中进行的转基因大米同位素标记试验研究表示遗憾
—— 呼吁给我国儿童食品安全与健康的生活
