investment,pension investment,fx hedge，可能也要做些cash flow forecasting
and liquidity management. 我本人没有在企业里干过财务，背景是国内审计经验加美
国一年多商行的capital market经验，so so学校MBA。
第一，这类职位职业稳定性怎么样，我知道会计总体来讲比其他职位要稳定，不知道
treasury的怎么样？基于家庭的考虑，我想下一个工作稳定性比较好点。总体来讲这个
公司的盈利状况比较不稳定，规模很大。
第二，这类职位好像需求较少，不像FA等，是不是意味着exit option较少?
第三，关于薪水，这种职位一般senior的在中等消费地区pay的范围是多少，开的薪水
跟我现在的差不多，想知道有多少negotiate的空间。

发帖数: 101 | 6 我只知道银行。你先到网上搜一下Fund Transfer Pricing，能帮助你理解银行
Treasury是干什么的。
这是银行的核心部门。象你所说的，事情很杂，和各部门都要打交道。没有fancy的
model，不需要什么quant的技能。做久了就不可能再回头找quant相关的职位了。不过
你要是能来事的人，积累下人脉，大可以在大银行的Treasury混一辈子，比起大部分跳
来跳去的所谓quant analysts省心省力多了。
关键是你自己想干什么。 |

我觉得今年干旱引起的粮食歉收很可能引爆通胀，进而引爆债券泡沫。因为粮食缺口最
早要到第二年才会有新的supply来弥补。这期间长达一年的食品价格高企回传导到工资
和其他工业制成品领域。食品通胀要比能源通胀厉害得多。人们可以少开车，carpool
或者telecommute等方法减少用油，但一顿饭吃少了就会饿得慌。 |

term growth rate of USA GDP will be half of the past 25 years, approximately
1.5%. The inflation threat will be mitigated to 1%. Thus this is a perfect
scenario for long term treasury bonds with yield of >4% |

projection is very interesting. In a low growth and low inflation eviroment, corporate

future. I do not know the timing. This could happen during a period of 5 - 10 years. I am thinking about how to profit from such trend withoutmuch
risk.
For risk part, I do no like gold because I believe it has already priced in 300% inflation for the next 10-20 years. Gold real price should be $400. Too risk for me. |

week for the fiscal stimulus plan. Image how much more interest they will
have to pay for the new debt. I believe that Fed will do something to ensure
that stability of the bond market. If 10 year treasury spikes to 4.5% and
have the possibility to go higher, it is really bad. China and Japan will
not want to be a bagholder that buy a lot of bonds at 4%. |

compare the seriousness of the bond market. I agree the current rate is
lower (4%) than the historic norm 5.48% for 10 year treasury bonds. But you
have to remember that growth rate and more importantly inflation rate are
very high in 70-80-90s. Inflation was close to or above 10% in 80s. We have
very low growth rate and low inflation and possible deflation environment.

iBond's inflation is mainly based on Labor Dept's March and Sept number.
It's April now, if one cares about ibond so much, one would look into
Labor
Dept's March numbers and then calculate the rate before the rate can be
