I don't think Freeman can beat Lieping in cancer immunotherapy. The main
opponent for Lieping is James Allison. The duel between them can trace back
to 1990s, when Lieping and James both published their outstanding work about
transducing B7.1 on tumor cells as a vaccine to treat cancer back to back. |

我们可以这么分析
Rituximab 治疗 B cell lymphoma 基本上是神药了～ 这么多年来，genetech挣了不少
钱。 其实机制很简单，就是把病人体内 normal和malignant的B cell全部杀光，
targeting CD20.
Car T 目前最好的trial是 target CD19, 跟CD20机制类似，说到底就是 换汤不换药，
用transduced engineered T cell把CD19+的normal 和malignant B 细胞一起杀掉。目
前 clinical trial主要用于 B cell leukemia.
其实rituximab治疗B cell leukemia的效果很好，你去查一下clinical trial的结果，
naive patient 90% 的有效率～ 但是，pharma也没有很积极的把rituxan推向clinical
trial。原因是“rituxan现在很能挣钱，就让它继续挣，专利15年过期，再用于
leukemia挣钱” 或者“用car 挣钱？“

有反应的（这个是根据以前一些一期试验的经验，没有依据）。个人对cancer vaccine
持怀疑态度，主要是因为：
1. 这个mutational load theory本身就很有瑕疵，如果看看几篇N Eng J Med的文章，
有疗效和没有疗效的患者mutational burden本身重叠部分就很大，加上现在很多被认
为是low mutational burden的肿瘤类型，对checkpoint反应率也没差太多。所以
antigen response 到了一定程度后，就是看microenvironment的抑制情况了。如果只
是作为maintenance therapy，那就回到20年前了，很难和新一代的制剂抗衡。
2. 即便是早期的cancer testis antigen vaccine, long peptide vaccine 也可以产
生类似于这个文章里的T 细胞反应，不过疗效在established tumour里微乎其微。这两

systems). You can try to shrink the size requirement for things that needs
to be transduced in the cells and improve target specificity. However, it
is still far away from anything useful for disease therapeutics. Just think
it is a better version of zinc-finger protease and we have that technology
for longtime. |

Sensitivity and specificiy have very different defination in othet fields.
especially, you were talking about patients, should check out the exact
definitation in medical statistics. google ROC curve.

不知道这个问题发到这里是否合适。
我在考虑建设一套无线远程数据采集系统（自动控制暂时不考虑），我以前有过数据采
集和自动控制的经验，不过对于无线远程数据采集不太了解。
SENSOR主要有这么几种：温度，湿度，空气流动速度，和空气压力（PRESSURE
TRANSDUCER），这些SENSOR的输出都是4-20 MA的电流或者0-10 V的电压。我希望最后
达到如下的目的：
在现场安装SENSOR，然后所有的数据送到现场一个带有一定存储量的数据采集模块（要
求体积小，方便安置），测试人员在远程可以实时无线下载和删除观测数据以清空存储
空间，距离要求越远越好（这可能是个难点），基本要求可以达到在同一个城市市区内
部的任何两地之间进行通讯。
请问，上述系统可行吗？有哪些公司提供这类系统的解决方案？

脉冲，然后等脉冲返回，按照时间乘以速度得到厚度。
困难发生了。波速两三千米每秒，涂层二三十micron, 一来一回时间大概20纳秒。
要是用频率比较低的transducer, 出去的波还没完，回来的就过来乐。掺在一起，
也不知道谁跟谁。要想分开，频率往上提，50M, 100MHz的电路据说比较贵，反
正manufacturer不肯。
板上有EE背景的没有？这个问题学EE的能想出一个办法来，呵呵。
