断的关系。今天他威胁我说，其中我任PI的一个大的grant得留下。原因是一部分原始
数据用了他的钱购买的试剂。idea当然是100％我的，也都是我做得。他给我写的grant
申请推荐信也白纸黑字写着“this is predominantly Dr. XXX's idea”.
上网查了，吓了一跳。到今天才知道原来大多数NIH和DOD的federal grant都是给单位
而不是给个人的。因此单位竟然可以要求拒绝transfer，并且换PI。现在我知道了系主
任的如意算盘，他想把这grant留下，自己当PI，或换成别的急需要grant的年轻教授。
他要是真的和学校的grant office事先打好招呼，让我不能转过去，那我可怎么办？ |

about P and U grants, then they are not individual grants. You can not move
them.
I thought R01 is to the PI. If the R01 don't move with you, it is unlike
the original institute can have it either especially if the grant only has
one PI.

但是，见NIH的官方解释

其实正常走对我来说是没有坏处的。所以我当初做了这个决定，当然也有不想得罪现在
老板的想法。
另外想请教一下，我是J1签证，我如果提前走的话需要怎么操作呢？我的签证和DS2019
的tranfer不会被现在老板想办法干涉吗？
