India is now issuing 10-year multiple entry tourist visa for US citizens. I
was about to sumit the application for 10 year visa with $160 (6-month
single entry $60) .. then I found some problem with China born American.
They still only issue 6-month single entry visa. It looks like having a US
passport makes no difference if you were born Chinese.

也许是昨天坐了5小时的车，我的腰疼已经扩散变严重，开始spasm，一点不能弯，越来
越接近腰椎间盘突出前的样子。犯病了我就只能卧床了。LD说去问hotel找个医院看看，

票回家看医生调养。
照例下楼吃早餐:
hotel的高大男非常非常帮忙，跟他讲了情况后主动帮我把去急诊室挂号，我的病情病
史，上次医生怎么用药的话，都翻译成西班牙文写在一张小纸上。还说了好几遍他最担
心的是语言不通给看错病开错药. 这人看上去很严肃但非常nice, 做事认真负责，心
细周到，有典型阿根廷人说话罗嗦的特点。LD问没有保险会不会很贵，人家一愣，‘what? it is
free'，LD也楞'what? free?' 。紧张了半天，原来阿根廷是全民医保(universal

Africa 非洲：共十四个国家和地区
Benin 贝宁共和国：落地签证，3个月，没提签证费，算免费吧
Burundi 布隆迪：落地签证（如果所在国没有的布隆迪使领馆的话），费用香港护照收
USD40。布隆迪在国内有使领馆吗？如果没有，就可以落地签了。
Central African Republic 中非共和国：落地签证，7天，费用XAF30000或者XAF20000

如果你要给大人买票，用undercover tourist。每张票能便宜十到三十多。注意这是大
人的票。Disney 对十岁以上的小孩也收全价，下面介绍怎么给小孩省钱。
如果你有五岁以上的小孩子(包括十岁以上的teens), 去Disney youth education
service (YES) individual Enrollment 注册一下。这个program 是Disney 员工带着
小孩子，化三个小时交一个topic, 比如gravity,or chemistry. 我猜也就是带着玩儿
。如果小孩小于12岁，要有一个大人跟着。一个topic是一个班，你得去查看是否你去

Puno到Cosco。
Puno到Cosco这段坐的所谓tourist bus，票价包括车上的饮料，午饭，中途几个景点的
导游讲解。门票另外收费。车上有wifi，但是途中有些地方没有信号。车况很好，服务
也不错。路况在南美算不错的了。没觉得有什么危险的。
Copacabana到La Paz也有tourist bus，不过车况差多了，玻利维亚大部分车都是二手

去年碰巧在这里看到一篇曼谷游记，文字栩栩如生，没有照片却更给了想象无数空间，
笔下的火车市场和水上市场尤其让我心向往之。紧接着的夏天就有朋友约去泰南岛屿，
可惜当时已有其他计划，却并不妨碍我google image后把皮皮岛放在了wish list上。
东南亚绝大部分属热带，季风气候。季风的季节又分东西两边不同。东边的东马印尼（
包括旅游热点Sipadan，Bali等）季风季是十一月到三月；西边的中南半岛季风是五月
到九月，而十一月到三月是干季又相对凉爽，最适合旅行。那么中南半岛就是这个冬天
的目的地了。
想去的地方其实很多，先筛选出了曼谷，皮皮岛，吴哥和蒲甘四个。蒲甘没有国际机场

It has been 14 yrs since the first time I visited DC when I was an
International Relations’ student in Boston. I have lived and worked in DC
twice since, but have not been back in the past three years.
DC is always my most favorite city in US and I find this city getting more
attractive and charming. Streets are clearn, People are polite, friendly and
highly educated, cultural life is well orgnazied. And, I find out a lot of

这里先列一个单子吧，有兴趣有时间的话，再挨个细说。排名不分先后，记得多少写多
少：
《The Pacific》
Huge Ambrose的大部头，跟同名电视片配套的。讲述几个人在太平洋战争中的真是经历
。有陆战队士兵，有海军飞行员，有美军在菲律宾的战俘。从日军占领珍珠港，一直到
最后硫磺岛，冲绳，直到最后日本投降。非常详细的历史，从不同的个人的视角，拼成
一幅战争长卷。对于两栖登陆，空战等等有详细的描写。研究很彻底，技术细节很到位
，人物描写也很不错。当然，有人会觉得这本书512页太长，但是我觉得不错，更长我
都能够津津有味地读下去。
《The Tourist》
Olen Steinhauer的畅销间谍小说。Johnny Depp有个电影是这个名字，但是不是一个故
事。也讲一个CIA的间谍/杀手。原来Tourist是CIA的一个Job Title，就是讲这种杀手
的。故事一般，倒也引人入胜，坐飞机坐车的时候读，用来解闷很好的。

1. Cobb老爸是教Cobb如何navigate他人意志的人，所以Cobb老婆因为inception而自杀
对于他来说很容易接受。而两个孩子的Grandma（电影里没说到底是奶奶还是外婆）应
该不是很能接受，所以相信官方的说法说Cobb杀了老婆，而且把俩孩子留在身边，影片
开头打电话的时候也是冷冷的。
2. Saito自己说要去，别人都反对，Eames嘲笑他说这里面不欢迎Tourists，然后Saito
说他不进去就根本不知道到底成功与否。最后在Level 3，Eames给Saito枪和手榴弹，
让他照看Fischer的身体，Saito还开玩笑说你现在觉得Tourist有没有用。
3. Totem是Cobb和Mal创造出来的，Fischer没有不奇怪，因为他是经过别人训练的。
Saito到底有没有其实电影没说，最后在Limbo里没有用也不奇怪，因为在Limbo里本来
就是属于迷失状态，不记得用Totem很正常。最后Cobb也不记得，俩人一起回忆才出来
的。
