this year. Their flight layover at Toronto is a couple of hours. They didn't
need a Canada visa to connect.
Something new currently for entering US at Toronto. Passenger don't' need
to pick up their luggage anymore. Luggage will pass through directly. And
they are using a new queuing system. Passengers will wait to see their names
on a big LCD screen before approaching to the customs.

我觉得Yonge上那个Elgin and Winter Garden Theatre还很值得看。毕竟是个双层剧院
，在“北美”也不多。虽然要排队，但是介绍讲解很详细，还是比较值得的。上次我在
那里看了歌剧。如果不看戏，刚好抽空进去看看老式的戏院装饰有多细致。
Gardiner Museum，一般之在星期六免费开。是多伦多比较好的陶瓷博物馆。藏品主要
是富人Gardiner的收藏，中国藏品很少，但是欧洲的东西比较多，特别是欧洲著名的瓷
器产地德累斯顿附近的Meissen的出品。平时要收10多块钱（我是掏钱去的）。
同样原因，如果喜欢纺织，还有Textile Museum of Canada，也是平时要钱。他们展区
面积不大。不过有给小孩子demo怎么用织机织布，比较有趣。
Toronto City Hall (New)，这个里面有会议厅，市长办公室，还可以上去观景。作为
这项活动的组织者，City of Toronto自然不会在自己的本家马虎。Bay对面的Old City
Hall，外面漂亮，里面好看的东西不多。

car in the USA, drive there and drop the car in Toronto. I just wonder if it's
necessary for me to keep the car when I stayed in Toronto because I heard that
public transportation is very developed. So if I live in downtown area maybe I
don't need to keep the car(to save the daily rents!). Does anyone have ideas

University of Toronto 的 Computer Science Department 一样强，还是弱很多
（相当于美国什么档次的学校？）？看他们的program最多只有computer science
major,
但系里的教授却全是University of Toronto的CS系的。

发帖数: 10 | 23 去过Toronto和Niagara Falls的人实在太多，所以此篇就权作流水帐了。 Toronto与所
有的Metropolitan无异；Niagara Falls还是很让我震撼的，但是，这种震撼是文字远
无法表达的，只有身临其境才能触摸到自然的神奇。
先说行程吧，我周六晚到的Ann Arbor，因为网上征集的几个驴友都是UMich的。晚上在
暴风雨中吃了家乡，很不错的家常菜，比我们在Toronto Chinatown吃到的好过千倍。
我们一行5人周六早上8点出发，Yuefeng开的全程， Pontiac的Vita，俺没开，不过坐
车的感觉还不错，GM的车，用的Honda的engine，据说是因为低档车，用GM自己的
powertrain反而不划算，所以source了Honda的engine...关于这个理由，俺还没太想明
白（民族自豪感太强，经不起市场经济的考验，呵呵）。从Ann Arbor走I－94，直接从
Detroit的Ambassoder Bridge过关，被海关mm叫道一边pull over，走了个形式，耽误
了40多分钟，终于盖上了入境的章。什么时候咱们中国人出门哪儿都 |

证。不过最近飞toronto的机票很贵， 所以我在想先飞去Buffalo， 然后乘坐BUS去加

我没有乘坐BUS过境的经验，想请问一下坛子里的各位，如果证件都齐全的话 （我正在

下车查。被耽搁的可能性高不高，I94会不会像在机场一样被拿走？

I took someone to the airport and saw a Chinese female there. She was not
allowed to board the flight to Toronto from a U.S. city because her flight
from Toronto to Beijing was operated by Hainan Air.
I told her she needed a visa because her next flight was not operated by Air
Canada, but she told me the travel agent who sold her the ticket told her
she would not need a visa.

诡异的是签证上clearance的通过日期仍然是去年那次审查的日期。 怀疑这次只是
update了一下clearance的信息。

所以还是要弄个加拿大的transit的visa。
回美国的时候有valid visa是不用加拿大的签证的。toronto的机场有美国的海关，到
达toronto之后要拿着行李过美国的海关，通过行李检查后，然后再drop你的行李。 |
