问题是， H1B 可以part time 工作吗？ 还是要申请一个part-time 的 H1B. 反正目
前的H1B也要延期的。如果要申请一个part-time 的 H1B，申请延期时直接申part-

picture wall上没有part time小孩的照片，做的手工也不会贴墙上，class picture也
没有parttime的小孩。感觉就是正式编制的该怎么玩怎么玩，旁听生就随便跟着听听好
了。。。
因为是part time，老师并不会因为是新来的就给更多的attention，哭的久了他们还会

儿子三岁半，在幼儿园比较听话，从来没有被time out过。今天去接他的时候，看他坐
在一边，眼睛里面有泪水。感觉不对劲，问他就说自己不听话。到家后仔细问了，说推
了一下小朋友就被一个新来的老师叫到time out了。感觉time out应该是比较严厉的惩
罚了。他主要的老师说一般不让小朋友time out的，除非几遍都不听。所以感觉心理不
舒服，不知道会不会对儿子有什么影响。要不要去幼儿园去问问到底什么是什么情况呢

来越看这个幼儿园不顺眼，转到另一家更贵的。去新幼儿园tour的时候跟老师说我们家
可能调皮，请问你们time out policy是什么，老师笑着说我从来不time out，问了几
个老师都这样。问院长人家说我们老师有办法化解，实在不行当然会time out，但是我

发帖数: 189 | 9 你这个有点滥用time out 吧。 time out 对小娃来说是最严厉的惩罚，只应该用在真
正需要使用的时候，比如很严重的行为问题。
我家女娃3岁，time out 使用的频率差不多一个月有一到两次，除非我真的很生气，她
真的犯了很严重的错误。 一般time out 了，小娃就知道了“妈妈真的生气了，后果很
严重”， 这样才能深刻让她记住教训。所以我娃总体上还是挺乖的，time out 效果很
好。
对于一些调皮的小事情，两三岁娃都会有的，我是不会怎么管的，除非有安全方面的原
因。 比如这个咬门的事情，我顶多对她说让她别咬，如果她坚持要咬，我也不会管的
。她咬痛了嘴或者吃了木头碎屑自然就不会再咬了。我会等她不咬了再问问她嘴巴痛不
痛，她如果说痛，我就自然的告诉她：那你以后不要再咬了。她自然听了。或者如果她
说不痛的话，我就告诉她门被咬坏了，我们要赔钱的（我们租的房子），下次去超市就
没有钱給她买酸奶了。她会追问几句，我会再理顺一下这个因果关系，一般她就懂了。
上次娃把墙上扣了好大一片下来，我就是这么教育了，现在她很少扣墙了。

灾难。我是对比他们相同年纪时的情况。
我家弟弟跟你家孩子反应一样，time out只能让他跟大人都崩溃，后来我总结，这样
的孩子还是别用time out这招了。多抱抱，多讲讲道理，大人坚持原则，我也不罚你，
但是你的无理要求我肯定不能满足你，如果你要哭，那就哭。这样的话他最多也就是
在你脚边哭个十来分钟，哭累了，他还得歇会，哭到最后无聊了，他自然会停下来。

I don't think there is a problem in USCIS with part-time H1B. Part time job
just means you work <35(?) hours per week for the position. It can be your
only job and you can legally stay in US with that. |

In my earlier posts I mentioned that time decay from 3x etfs can be totally
replicated by adjusting position. Of course adjusting position manually,
first, it takes some work, then there is the problem of commission and bid-
ask spread. Clearly 3x etf has the advantage of automatically adjusted (
almost) free of charge and daily.

employer还是同一家。 律师说现在file amended petition的话，就算PP加急，要4月
底收到approval也有点儿悬。

LZ有一份full time的职位， 最近一家公司想要LZ去做part time 的consultant，可以
remote的工作， 并且工作时间没有限制， 可以晚上，可以周末,所以工作时间/地点上
不会和full time的工作有任何冲突。
请问， 如果我去做这个consultant， full time position的公司有可能知道吗？ 由

summer break也是不用上班。 我知道必须要夫妻都有收入才可以claim dependent
care FSA,所以从来没放过dependent care FSA，但是现在我的这种情况：虽然有part
time,也有收入，但是不影响我下午接孩子，暑假也不会因为我必须工作而必须送孩子
去summer camp,像我这种情况，可以claim吗？我想明年夏天送孩子上summer camp,不
会整个夏天都送，但是会送其中的几周。

EB1A的，485 4月底RD，还没有收到FP通知。学校的postdoc，老板突然说没钱了。
我在版上考古，应该是中间可以有GAP的，现在有一个老板愿意支持我几个月的part-
time，但是系里面秘书说H1B不可以part-time。
按照现在的进度，应该七月份可以拿到EAD卡吧，能不能到时候不用H1B，直接用EAD卡
做part-time？万一485被RFE的话，part-time的paycheck应该没有问题吧？
我已经真心不想继续做千老了。如果这样可行的话，我就不继续找工作了，利用这几个
月做part-time的时间休息一下，顺便想想自己要干啥。

Please note once you are in I-485 stage, it is a big hurdle. Remember H1-B
and H1-B transfer is very complicated and lot of companies do not want to
sponsor and if you loose a job you have find a sponsor within 2-4 weeks,
which really hard, if not you will be in out of status. Whereas once you
have EAD, and I-485 is pending, you can be out of job as long as they have
not made the decision regarding your case, but it is highly recommended to
