云老师发了个贴说清华目前的找人标准，很多人不相信。特地调研了一下清华生命学院
最近回去的人的情况，如云老师所说，绝大多数都有2cns，如果只有一篇cns，那基本
上还有>2的子刊。这个不仅仅局限于胖老师经常说的结构生物学，而是所有方向都基本
如此。
当然这些新回去的绝大部分都是千青（有些不是的是因为回去那一年千青还没开始）。
网页上的Title有的是教授，有的是研究员，估计当时还没有统一。但校内一律都是副
教授，也就是相当于这边的AP。我还特地打听了一下，国内的TT制度好像没有Tenured
Associate这一档，清华5年考核通过了就是正经的full professor。
有些老师看不上国内的科研，我就仅列出两位回国后的publication，咱就不说颜宁等
这种Early T的个例了。说两个没太有名气的，还没有评上T的，各位老师可以参考一下

Chinese academic system (as well as rules).
If someone gave me $$$ and said I just need to spend a few months in PKU, I
would do it. Nothing wrong with that.
I "guess" what happened is that ppl in PKU want to get Tian, but Tian can't
really be a "full-time" faculty, and I beleive Tian wouldn't cheat PKU on
this, but PKU ppl just wouldn't bother with this. Afterall, hiring a
Princeton (or MIT) tenured prof. would be such a glam |

. Here there was no room at all for productive day-dreaming. Tian's talk was

萧荫堂1986年4月在哥伦比亚大学介绍关于Kahler-Einstein度量的工作，田刚在座
，然后到了1986年8月田刚写出一篇文章，完全用的就是萧荫堂在哥伦比亚大学讲座上
所介绍的思想和技巧，只不过写法上改头换面了一下。

田刚企图将这一成果完全据为己有，他曾想自大的在文章里写上“Siu’s
technique does not work”这样的话，后来干脆在文章中只字未提萧荫堂的贡献。正
如萧在信中所指出的那样，田刚剽窃了萧的想法以后，剩下的计算其实就是在“钉马掌
”，可惜田刚还把马掌钉歪了，反而把一个简单的问题搞得很复杂，见如下萧的文章第

Chen did 3 postdocs before landing a permanent position, with the help from
Tian. Anyway, Chen is an OK researcher.
This is what I guessed before and is now verified by Tian's comments. As a

早期，tian z可以认为是两块独立的频率稍低的titan black显卡。
如果应用测试只使用其中的一块显卡，那么性能就上不去，可能还不如titan black。

这个G3D Mark，tian z显然就只用到了一个核心的性能。
如果性能要上去，titan z内部的两块卡就得SLI。如果两块GPU交火，性能就上去了。
但是我们几年前早就知道，两块Titan独立显卡SLI时，双精度是被自动屏蔽的（你找不
到设置开启双精度的地方），如果把SLI的桥拔下来，才能设置2块卡的双精度，但是这
时游戏或渲染只能使用一块卡的性能。（当然，自己编程写程序的时候可以制定设备1
、设备2，两个设备都推上CUDA计算。对于世面上已经是二进制可执行的程序，一般只
能使用一张GPU加速。）
所以，我们可以猜想，Tian Z显卡的两块内部GPU，SLI与否是可以通过驱动软件设置开

至少不应该是空穴来风的吧.
在80还是90年代,北大有个学生想跟yau,给yau发了个信, 说自己比较行,然后yau恰
好来中国开会,去面试了一下.觉得不错,然后让那个学生不要北大的硕士学位.那个
学生说,这个事情,不好吧?要跟学院有关老师商量一下.具体场景不记得了,大约是学
生跟老师说,没有被同意,然后yau自己跑过去教训了那几个老师一下(都是有头有脸
的老师).然后yau自己拍拍屁股走了.留下那个学生独自在那里和那几个老师相处.
那个学生最后还是过了一年拿到了硕士学位才出国.

这件事情,至少说明一件事情,yau对于不顺自己意见的人是不够尊重的.而且一点也
不认为自己错了.这样的人,我们身边不少,只不过少有学术做到他那个分上的了.

just want to say something about this.
I "guess" you probably never wrote any scientific paper - it's not your
fault, but keep claiming things you don't really understand is not right.
Ask Tian if he thinks he just wrote something that "对证明庞加莱猜想的贡献为
0" and why he wasted his time, hehe ...
Afterall, Tian-Morgan's paper is published in a peer-review journal, and you

Among all chinese in pure math, it seems only Fang-hua Lin is slightly
better than Tian.
Among all Yau's chinese students, Tian is the best one.
However, Tian is not at the same statue of Yau, he maynot keep it up in his
