去年初来乍到，摸不清门道。今年作了番功课，发现最好的参与办法还是做volunteer
，既能凑热闹，还可以免费看电影 :-)
所以我很早就关心这方面的事情。6月份开始电影节官方网站上就贴出了招募志愿者的
信息，从7月份开始，有4个recruit session，一共要招1700个志愿者，可见电影节规
模之大！
我去了第二个recruit session，除了那些非常专业化的职位 （比如同声翻译），大部
分职位都不需要面试。图省事儿，我报了4个周末的theatre shift，每个 shift 7 个
小时左右，可以拿2张voucher用来换电影票，这样一来可以免费看8个电影 :-)
8月底到我要去volunteer的theatre (Elgin, visa screening room)做training，看到
了其他志愿者，年龄跨度之大让我大开眼界。Elgin |

【明報專訊】由Seven Tyrants Theatre及溫哥華中山公園聯合製作的Theatre in the
Garden，今個夏天，帶來一齣可以讓觀眾也參與其中的好戲﹕「The China Tea Deal」。
「The China Tea Deal」可為觀眾帶來穿梭於古老中國的獨一無二之舞台經驗，歡迎每
位觀眾和演員一起飛越時空，回到三百多年前的中國。
觀眾們將與來自英國的Bispin Woodfellow船長，一同走一趟既刺激又傳奇的中國長江
口岸之旅；還可當上船長的軍師，與中國茶商討價還價，買入中國名茶帶回老家。
與船長拜會當地官紳時，除了傾談茶葉生意外，還會身處明代的蘇州庭園中，近距離觀
賞巧奪天工的園林藝術，欣賞現場彈奏的中國古典音樂，官紳女兒還會為大家演出一個
有關西施的戲中戲劇目。

河南少兒團歌舞宣揚中國文化 2008年8月13日
【明報專訊】到訪溫哥華的中國河南電視台少兒藝術團16名小團員，今晚將上演一場以
「楓葉情緣 舞向世界」為主題的歌舞表演。團長孫華表示，希望藉表演不同的民族
歌舞，使加國民眾對中國的藝術與文化增進了解。
已有17年歷史的中國河南電視台少兒藝術團，一向活躍於中國電視螢光幕及文藝舞台，
曾經在中央電視台多個大型節目中演出，包括：《綜藝大觀》、《大風車》及《同一首
歌》等，並有多次海外演出經驗。
率團訪溫的團長孫華表示，表演主題為「楓葉情緣 舞向世界」，16名8歲至18歲的團員

在纽约，BROADWAY 的SHOW是不可以不看的。据一个酷爱DRAMA，几乎看过所有CLASSIC
SHOW的朋友说，所谓的BROADWAY和OFF BROADWAY SHOW的差别仅在于THEATRE的SIZE，OFF
BROADWAY的THEATRE相对较小。有人说，在CLASSIC当中，LES MISERABLE和THE PHANTOM
OF THE OPERA又是MUST SEE。可惜因为种种原因，这两个都没看着。仅看了一场CHICAGO
，如果喜欢JAZZ，还是值得一看的，里面的DANCE也不错。
第一次听说THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA还是在CLASSIC MUSIC板，看到有人的评论，忍不
住借了一盘很老的PRODUCTION来看，还是单声道的，通俗简单的概括，全剧用音乐的形式
展现了一个有艺术天赋的KL GG(ERIK)暗恋歌剧女演员CHRISTINE不能自拔的凄美的爱情故
事，最后故事在众人追杀抓鬼的吵杂中结束。看来SMARTNESS和TALENT加在KL身上实在是
人生莫大的悲 |

发帖数: 589 | 16 这次玩前做了一些功课，好多都没用上，在此贴出来，希望能对其他人有些用。
顺便再说几个小地方：
1、我们发现在高速上隔一长段没有加油站的时候，如果是快进城市了最先出现的那个加油站基本上是最贵的，接下来的出口会便宜一些，最多有便宜4毛。
2、我们每天的行程基本上都和GPS给出的时间差不多，很顺利，只有快到LV和LV的时候会堵车，I-40，AR、TX和OK限速是70，NM和AZ是75，我们一般都开到限速或者再多个5-10mi，还能省出加油的时间。
3、我们被警察叔叔拦过两回，一次是12月25日，一次是1月1日，看来美国警察假日也不休啊！

一部讲林肯遇刺，一部讲JFK遇刺
看了发现，林肯遇刺原来很多细节挺有意思，Booth的媳妇儿原来是个参议员的女儿，
使他有了不少便利，当然参议员事后撇的很干净; Booth刺杀直接导致了米国历史上第
一个被判处极刑的女性。林肯媳妇儿片子里还行，不过却着实不是省油的灯；两人的小
孩很可怜，很多都夭亡，就连片中的小胖子也没活多久
当然两部书为了突出些内在联系，还故意说了点巧合的事儿：
林肯和JFK第一次当选总统刚好差了100年(1860 vs 1960)；继任者都是叫Johnson的；
在任期间都经历丧失子女之痛; Booth是在Theatre开枪然后躲到Storage building里去
了，而Oswald是在Storage building开枪，然后躲到theatre去了... |

发帖数: 5 | 35 Xmas 赶早场看的Avatar IMAX 3D experience, 虽然theatre不是正宗的classic
design, 但视觉上已是足够震撼。
Avatar的故事很简单，但视觉效果应该是划时代的，看电影的过程对我来说更像是play
a 3D virtual game， just unbelievable。虽然３Ｄ／４Ｄ的技术已经好多年了，前
两年也在Universal Studio看过４Ｄ movie。我想Avatar将是3D movie 商业化的开山
之作。希望它在票房上大有斩获，创造奇迹，这样以后才会有更多的３Ｄ theatre/
movie。
看起来３Ｄ ｇａｍｅ是下一步的趋势。现在frys 已经在卖3D TV,（Toshiba 的
50inch背投？)，可惜demo坏了，不知效果如何。希望能在五年内看到主流游戏３Ｄ化
，不过这是题外话了。
看到很多关于Avatar的讨论，但有一个问题好像没人提到。就是男主角jake's navi
body是以谁为原型的。我在第一眼就感觉他非常像Mummy的男主角Brendan Fraser,神似
。和片中的男主角反而不是很像。不知 |

DVD和home theatre相连，播放MP3音乐时只有两个主音箱响，其他如
suround speakers, centre speaker and subwoofer都不响。
该home theatre system放DVD，Music CD以及收听FM音乐时所有Speakers
都工作，因此可以排除hooking-up中的问题。
请教明白人，这是什么问题？
