。公司也没啥起色，半死不活的。大的公司太难进了，而且裁人太厉害了。
自己做的现在都是molecular biology/cell biology的东西，这段时间做些病人样品的
bio analysis.
很想转到临床相关的工作上去，但是实在是找不到突破口。 |

工作的。转会计可以隐瞒生物的Ph.D.学位，去申clinical lab不好隐瞒吧？我们这儿
有国内来的MD去申lab（genetic medicine，不是clinical lab比如diagnostics）
senior technologist的位子（相当于工作几年的本科或刚毕业的硕士），拿到了，但
那是或者认识人或者不知道通过什么手段拿到的。 |

technologist应该很好。你要担心射线的话，完全可以做B超或者MRI的技术员。工作不
累，你有医学背景，非常有利。而且时间上可以很灵活，比如上3天班每天12个小时（
比如11am-11pm），这样就算全职，休4天。而且也可以做半职。工资我知道mri得技术
员应该至少6-7万。好像需要上2年的学，然后考试那执照。 |

Unlike the medical degree which only has a major board, the field of
clinical lab has three major boards in USA.
American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP)
National Credentialing Agency for Laboratory Personnel, Inc
American Medical Technologists
Several other smaller boards also exist in USA.
You need to:

MB)里面，Molecular Biology, MB(ASCP）列在最后，博士也可以考，是最高级别的吗

发帖数: 1727 | 31 如果faculty希望不大的话，两人尽量有一个改行。不能改行，就改到industry或其他
非academy的工作也好。这里以前讨论过的Medical Technologist,biotech等等。有了
绿卡，机会就好了很多，改行也容易多了。
以过来然身份说说，对待生活不要太negative。夫妻双方有一方过分negative,往往也
会影响另一方，甚至影响下一代的。第一代移民没有根基，担心比较多容易理解，但这
些担心也不会真正改善生活，反而让生活变得更差。如何在有限资源的情况下让生活更
好，不仅仅是心态上的问题，其实也是一门学问。建议从personal finance学起。两个
博士后的收入，完全可以有一些余钱来理财和投资的。我记得我刚开始投入IRA的时候
也是来美国9年后，刚拿到绿卡，太太刚找到她在美国的第一个正式工作。十五年后回
头看，当时有很多想法和你现在一样。但我比较乐观，给自己的理财之路设立了一个又
一个milestone，给太太看我们每年的进步。一路走来，有股市大跌带来的担忧，更多
的是跨过一个有一个milestone后的喜悦。

hiring process,是要我去他们总部参加一个testing session,看介绍大概就是教室里
做卷子.这个应该不是面试吧.而且也没说给我提供机票住宿之类的,就是叫我去考试.是

我是化学的MS 有卡 准备转行 要补很多课 生理 写作 等等
而且很多program 需要在medical field 有工作经验 这个就很难申了
我看还有别人推荐专科的助理 比如 medical assistant, ultrasound technician,
radiologic technologist, MRI technician, dental assistant etc, 这些比较偏的
科 和physician assistant 比起来就业和入学难易如何?
不好意思问了一堆问题 实在是对医疗领域完全不了解
