这个专业很难说到底是学什么的。
职业发展上大体上两个大的方向：
Consulting & IT
从就业角度上讲，入门找工作肯定是IT方向对于咱们外国人容易一点，但是如果真的决
定走这个方向就要学精了，只是学些multimedia&html还真很难和citizen竞争去拿H1b,
green card，所以会有人“自学成材”，学起了很多programming的东西，所有知识就
摆在那，就看你学不学了。
但是从未来职业发展上说，IT方向没什么大发展,钱途，因为你只是一个“管电教，做
课件”的（no offense），这个行业的高端人才都做consulting,也就是Human
Performance Technology，这对于语言，interpersonal skills, 要求比较高。入这个
行不容易，但是如果有机会的话，收入高很多，社会地位和未来职业发展都非常的好。
我也在摸索中前进，一点个人体会，和大家探讨。 |

没有绿卡, 没有相关工作经验。
我周围没有作这一行的朋友，所以上来问几个问题：
1．我知道IP这方面做Biology的比较饱和，fresh PhD能找到technology specialist的
机会有多大？我打算申请NYC, Boston, Washington DC和SF这几个area的IP firm.
2．哪里能找到这类job opening的信息？还是要自己一个个firm地问？
3．大概要提前几个月申请？如果希望能明年9月开始工作，几月份开始申请？

associate。对这个OFFER很疑惑，主要有两点：
一是拿的太容易了。见了三四个人,没onsite。
二是当时和我一起面的人大多是本校mism的MS，本人stat/machine learning phd。不
知道这个职位是不是合适.
三是周围人好象都觉得technology不是一个太好的部门。面试官声称我可以学很多
finance知识。
pay 的也一般，大概是４１。７／小时，超过４０小时的６７／小时。不知道对PHD来
说是不是很少？（好象没有IT公司PAY的多？？？）
手头还有几个不错的IT公司的offer。请问是否有了解行情的人帮忙解释一下这个职位
