发帖数: 1263 | 4 汉语中的“中国人”和英语中的“CHINESE”并不是完全等同的。后者即可以指“中国
人”，也可以指“华裔”。所以象你所说的，新加坡，马来西亚等地的华人虽然不是“
中国人”，但他们认同自己的“华人/华裔”身份，即自己的祖先是从中国来的，用中
文来表述自己时说“新加坡华人”或“马来西亚华人”，用英语来表述时说“CHINESE
SINGAPOREAN”或“CHINESE MALAYSIAN”。这也同样适用于“美籍华人”或“CHINESE
AMERICAN”。
香港的情况其实和新加坡和台湾这些地方是不同的，因为香港政府从法理上是隶属于中
国政府的，所以香港人应该同时也是“中国人”。
台湾政府和中国政府之间目前没有任何隶属关系，所以台湾人自认不是“中国人”也有
一定的道理。但台湾人的“华裔”身份（即祖先从中国移民而来）却是个无论自己喜欢与否
都无法改变的事实，所以他们一再强调自己不是“CHINESE”而是“TAIWANESE”确实是
有点无厘头。“TAIWANESE”这个词用来特指台湾的原住民应该更合适，而占台湾人口
大多数的“外省人”则是不折不扣的“华裔/华人”，即“CHINESE”。

就算台湾和大陆不是一国，台湾人和大陆人是一个ethnic group是毫无疑问的，难道台
湾的汉人和大陆的汉人不都是汉人吗。难不成美籍韩人还要分north korean american
和south korean american?考虑到台湾又有人是外省人，这些人跑到美国是不是该叫
chinese taiwanese american？
再者，我们既台湾是中国的一部分，taiwanese也是chinese。两者并不是互斥的概念，
而是包含的概念。林就算说了自己是taiwanese也并不代表他对统独有什么看法。大家
别被绕进去。
台湾人大陆人一个人种，老美显然是知道的，所以理所当然叫他chinese amercian。当
然这并不表示美国支持统一。
总之，有关chinese／taiwanse的问题上，林怎么说根本无所谓。 |

台湾人宣称自己是taiwanese，在某种程度上反映了长期遭受大陆打压的愤谩情绪。
其实，如果你不是大陆统治阶级的一员，台湾人称自己是taiwanese和我们个人的生活

华民国的台湾，还是有“台独”的隐意？有没有比较正式的解释？
Taiwanese这个词算是越来越流行了。如果真有台独的隐意，可不可以让大家，特别是
外国人，形成一种潜意思，这个词就是指“从台湾来的人”，并没有独立的意思。这样
，可能比单纯抵制这个英文单词简单的多。

从种族上讲，书豪是“Chinese”，从地域上讲，人家是“American”。都跟“

businesses cannot compete in China and Taiwanese looking for jobs in China).
I stated that "every word she said applied equally to Americans. Take [eBay
