action也可以包括对性别的优待，以及根据social and economic status的优待。我个
人反对的是在大学录取过程中的race based preferential treatment。我赞成social
and economic status的优待。
其次，最高法院关于strict scrutiny的意思就是我们要对这些race based
preferential treatment持高度怀疑的态度，那些支持种族优待的必须要证明这些优待
是要有"compelling governmental interest",而不是随便一个貌似合理的理由都行。
然后，正方还必须证明这个种族优待是narrowly tailored to achieve that interest
，就是说在实际应用当中必须用的谨慎，不能随意。

即便这样，也可以按特定专业班级的学习需要，来定特定确有需要的专业的 race-
based preferred treatment。
这倒是有可能满足 strict scrutiny 的要求，该专业开班有足够的苦衷（race mix 不
到要求无法正常地开班），外加足够 narrowly tailored。
不过这很可能是你的一厢情愿。你得说服哈佛按专业招生，你还得说服哈佛列出非常需
要 race-based mutual learning 专业清单（满足 strict scrutiny 的苦衷度）。你
愿意人哈佛未必愿意。

另一方面，为了自身人身安全，自身在不明情况下，离黑人区远一点，这个应该属于人
之常情。
因为目前的统计事实毕竟是存在的，而这也符合个人自保的观念（类似对于政府的
strict scrutiny）。毕竟生命只有一次，自保人生安全的苦衷也足够大了。而反应（

第一，关于多样性
看看周围的亚裔娃，最大的同质是对ＥＸＣＥＬＬＥＮＣＥ的追求，但这个同质是大学
录取必须的。进哈佛的人，不分人种，都是ＯＶＥＲ-ＡＣＨＩＥＶＥＲＳ。毕业之后
，也都是去华尔街，或者政界。不能因为这种同质而说亚裔里面完全没有多样性。
在对卓越的追求里面，也许亚裔同质地追求理工和钢琴。但对音乐同质的追求不可以吗
？对理工的同质追求，让我想起和娃从前的对话。我说大家一百年前都觉得电力，土建
各种工程很重要，现在大家都学计算机。是因为这是人类社会当下最前沿的智慧领域。
那么这种同质源于对尖端的追求，也应该是可以理解的。
也许还有些文化上，性格上，信仰上的同质？但这种同质可以被用来作为反对理由吗？

我现在觉得既然中国城等地的老中支持赵美心，也是因为他们的利益。而在 race-
baded AA 限制在 narrowly tailored 的前提下，技术移民老中里不追藤的，总是可以
用 academic eliteness 补回一枪。所以实际上并没有非常直接的影响。
这种情况下，我觉得该投票的时候投票反 race-based AA，该站街的时候站街反 race-
based AA。不用想太多，反正 race-based AA 对技术移民不利，对政治系统长期稳定
也不利。同时静观待变。
不用想太多的意思，就是既不要太天真的以为能够联合中国城或者赵美心，这不是人家
的利益所在。也不用受他们太多影响，因为人家毕竟也不是站在技术移民或者政治系统
长期稳定的角度考虑。
就这样子。算是我的总结。求同存异。 |

An alternative is to go to the Saks Off 5th Ave stores (the outlet of Saks
5th Ave) and buy suit there. You get slightly higher end brand, but your
size or favorite color may not be available.
Don't buy it online, you need to go to local stores to try it on. |
