自3月10日，英国桑顿（Thorntons）巧克力公司华裔女分析师佳·阿什顿（Jia Ashton）在距离公司不远处的德比郡Sleetmoor Woods树林遇害后，警方日前表示案情调查获得新的进展，正在通缉嫌疑人。
在案发后警方曾短时间拘留一名26岁的男子，但随后未做起诉而释放。
现在德比郡警方负责该案的总警司（Det Ch Supt Steve Cotterill ）表示：“法医对案发现场进行了取证，发现阿什顿的头部和脸部均有明显创伤，但没有受到过性侵犯。初步调查显示，凶手信息没有储存在警方数据库内。”

With 42 homicides on the books so far this year, the most for a January in
11 years, Chicago Police Superintendant Garry McCarthy claims things just
aren’t as bad as it seems.
Chicago’s top cop said the city’s deadly weekend wasn’t as bad as it
seems when compared to last year.
