不用担心job market,job market前端换得很快的
前端跟后端不一样
后端java->j2ee->hadoop->spark这些都不是直接替换和竞争的关系
而是互为补充,前端php,node.js还有dart本质上就是直接竞争的关系
欲除之而后快,这就是为啥很多人不愿意做前端的主因
变化太快,竞争过于激烈,如果你认为前端是一个十年不变的东西
那你就大错特错了
要说ecosystem吗?dart已经有自己的ide和dartium了
你对比node.js还要挂靠在eclipse上,debug js时候还要开个chrome
你觉得哪个eco更好?没发现用过dart的都说好?

Option 1------ I throw away $50 a month if we don't die in 20 years.
Option 2------ I throw away first $50 and then $150 in the hope of getting
someting back to recoup the loss of $50, but actually the $150 cannot even
generate return on itself, so the $50 is anyway for sure a sunk cost can't
be recovered. With this being said, Option 1 is better? |

国人比在竞争中的劣势,还有对语言的高要求。医生就算国内的学位有用,从考试开始
估计要有个10年才能出来,药剂师的学费,护士现在没有身份很难很难找工作了。还是
那句话,光看见贼吃肉,没看见贼挨打。。。
另外,对于已经在做生物化学薄厚的,已经在科研上花了那么多年了,还有个sunk

商学院/经济系发文章怎么能跟其他专业相比,在job market上经济系的phd有1/2篇RR
就已经很牛了,有1篇accepted by top journal就是大牛了,哪能跟其他专业随便灌水
相比。
当然,商学院也不全是很难发paper的专业,比如strategy就比较容易,灌水的很多,
不过我认识的会计faculty都工作3年了也不过2/3篇paper而已,这算一般水平。
LZ的问题,也许paper只是一个借口,大概你平时没花太多精力在research上,再聪明
也难过导师关了,不少program还是很看重自己的reputation的。
不过从个人角度而言,能留下来还是留下来,已经3年的sunk cost,拿个master和phd还
是太大差别了,前提大概还不是说服导师,要说服自己有research的motivation才行吧。

CS Master 1~2年,如果本科是科班出身,不是半路出家那种,即使刚毕业工资没有
Pharmacist高,干了7,8年后,也可以达到或超过Pharmacist's salary.
Pharm D 4 years tuition and time,sunk cost太高。但对于本科不是CS,
engineering, mathematics而是 biology, chemistry 这样的major,只有medical
schools, dental schools, pharmacy schools, nurse practitioners, physician
assistants programs. 还要有绿卡。C |
