LADWP 有＄２PER SF REBATE 可以拿，如果把草坪换掉，把SPRINKLER 换成DRIP 或者
BUBBLER。 我们家草坪总是不好，就想趁机换了。 一动手，才知道我们对花园的事情
真是不懂。
如果你想申请这个项目，做之前最好有个主意，自己喜欢什么样的花园，什么样的植物
。 另外也有个BUDGET， 想在里面投多少钱。 愿意花钱多，省心还漂亮。 想省钱，就
要自己多费心费力。
南加抗旱花园有几种选择， 可以做成NATIVE GARDEN，招蜂鸟的， 可以是HERB， 也可
以是SUCCULENT或者沙漠植物。 我最喜欢的是中东花园mediterranean garden， 我觉
得很适合我们，而且也好看。
等你有了想法，可以画个图，大概列出自己喜欢的植物。 这时候可以找几个设计师聊
聊，决定是自己设计还是请人设计。 我前院是自己设计的， 可还是觉得有条件请人设
计是不错的。
等你有了UP TO SCALE 的设计图纸，你就可以找人做了。 我们找了一个GARDENER
GROUP， 我觉得还不错，两天就把活干了。

We went back to Portland 4, 5 times now for lobsters. It is delicious.
Next time you are there, try DiMillo's. The lobsters are succulent, fresh
and tender! Best I ever have had.
Compared to those I had, many lobsters I had here in Boston are much empties, presumably kept in the water tank too long. I heard that they don't feed the lobsters in water tanks at all. It is like a concentration camp. |

也差不多。老美喜欢用柠檬和butter，中国人还是喜欢香醋+姜末蘸着吃吧
网上找的：

发帖数: 500 | 38 刚申请的时候是$2/sqft，最后结算的时候是按$3/sqft给的。估计网站还没更新。可以
打电话问问。
工序基本是：
铲草皮->翻土,grading->撒weed preventer药->压实->铺weed fabric,上anchor->挖洞
,种植物->铺滴灌系统->上mulch
专门找人设计估计也要一两千。我就是随便从costco, summerwind买了一些植物，间隔
着随便种，没有那么高大上，也还凑合。summerwind买的比较贵，不过种死了可以拿去
退，没后顾之忧。
植物要买他那个列表上允许的，要想长得快就买草本的，比如blue fescue, coleonema
, purple foxtail(长得奇快)。长远规划就买些木本的，比如mugo pine, juniper，超
级耐旱，长大后超大的一坨，而且完全不需要浇水。还有各种succulent肉肉植物也不
错。不过别种在阴凉处，会被蜗牛吃光。
mulch可以选木头的（每年要补，容易被风吹走），rubber mulch（担心有化学物质）

This thick-stemmed succulent shrub is native to tropical and
sub-tropical Africa. Its stout, greyish-green stem bears
leaves clustered toward the top. The leaves, with a
prominent mid-vein, are dark glossy green above, and paler
beneath. The funnel-shaped flowers are bright rose-pink and
open in succession to provide a long blooming season.
Desert Rose should be exposed to full sun. It thrives in
porous soil with good drainage. Little fertilizer is needed. |

敢向谁开口要种子。建议寄种子的人可以适当收些费用，这样至少淘汰掉那些不
appreciate别人的好心又舍不得花银子的人。同时能否建立一个专贴，以地区分类，大
家可以post自己有和想要的种子，其实不仅是种子，枝条也可以用来交换。我今年刚有
地方种东西，但可以想象若干年后，我会有很多枝条可以交换或赠送，象玫瑰枝，火龙
果，各种各样的succulent等，这样额外的枝条既有了去处，通过交换也丰富了自己的
品种。 |

我说的肉肉指SUCCULENT，仙人掌是其中之一种。仔细看，俺家的大盆里有一小棵仙人
掌呢。景天也是一种肉肉。俺家有很多很多景天，其中一棵很大，枝繁叶茂，很漂亮。
还有两颗老的，正在学习山农妹妹往盆景方面引导。
