如果两者选一，你想要自己的小孩一个“成功”但不happy的人生，还是一个happy但不
“成功”的人生？
你希望小孩成功，是因为爱小孩，还是因为自私的想要小孩成功以后回报自己?包括得
到别人的羡慕满足自己的虚荣心？
成功（successful)个人有个人的定义。大体而言，我发现华人认为成功，要么发大财
，要么做大官，要么学术有成（比如诺奖）。这三者都得兼的概率基本上是0，至少目
前世界上也没有一个，因为不兼容。如果要发大财，那么中国比美国容易，而发大财跟
高智商基本上没有一毛钱的关系。实际上，智商越高，赚钱越难，也越不看重钱。CEO
的平均智商比普通员工高，但不能高太多，否则没有共同语言，发表演说无法产生共鸣
。做大官，作为华人二代在美国的概率也目前近乎为零，跟高智商更是一分钱的关系都
没有。学术有成跟高智商的关系最大，估计也是大多数华人父母看重的。大家也知道亿
万富翁诺奖对绝大多数华人不管几代而言都是遥不可及的事，所以只要小孩爬个藤，拿

下面是一封申请EB2 NIW I-140的petition letter的范例。这是多年前公开发表在
MITBBS“落地生根”版上的一个帖子。现在重贴于此，供大家参考。
个人点评：EB2 NIW的申请是技术活，满足NIW的三个方面都必须论证到位，否则就通过
不了；而且论证过程中，有些关键词必须出现在移民官的视野里。这封petition
letter基本上达到了这几方面的要求。更难能可贵的是，这封petition letter的后面
，还列出了所有的exhibit，值得参考。

的petition letter，开始准备NIW。看了几篇模板，发现有些疑问。
1. NIW 不需要列表格，油灯图等吗？为什么我看到的模板都没有这些，只有Exhibit？
2. EB1A的petition条理比较清楚，比方说我要claim三项，就从1，2，3几方面阐述。
