“The Borgias” vs. “Borgia: Faith and Fear” (accuracy in historical

BorgiaFrenchTVPoster
A French “Spot the Saint” themed poster for “Borgia: Faith and Fear”
assigning Cesare the attributes: archbishop’s robes, scythe, dagger, bloody
hands, blood. The French caption reads “Don’t have faith in them.” I
can’t argue.

I see two lines:
1. H to A, DA, DQ (if LHO drops DK, play low D).
2. D to Q, low D.
The first line succeeds if RHO holds DK and <=5 D, or if LHO has stiff DK,
or if HKx or 3-3. So chance = 1 - 70/128*32/64 = 72.6%
The second line succeeds any time RHO holds DK and when <= 6D, or if HK, Kx
drops. So that's 1 - 65/128 * 52/64 = 59.7%.
The choice is obvious.

Pain has an element of blank
Emily Dickinson
Pain has an element of blank;
It cannot recollect
When it began, or if there was
A time when it was not.
It has no future but itself,
Its infinite realms contain
Its past, enlightened to perceive
New periods of pain.
痛把心掏空;

何时开始, 可否有过
它不存在的一刻。
痛没有未来,
它无尽的领地包容
它的过去, 唤醒去体味

irresistible dominance. The poem is structured by references to time (the

America's decline is simply the natural course of human affairs. A nation
seizes a challenge, succeeds in conquering it, and evolves to the status of
an empire. Then complacency sets in, a smug sense of entitlement replaces
the hunger of ambition, younger generations become lazy, elites become more
interested in manipulating wealth than creating it, egotistical
