This poster is about whether we should set a subfund in USTCAF&IF to
commemorate Juan Wu.
大家都知道了吴娟去世的消息。大家也许看到我在MITBBS发的关于如何纪念吴娟的帖子
。我们捐款资助她的父母在美的旅资是一部分，但是我想如何怀念我们的同学做一些有
纪念意义的工作，也许更能安慰她的父母，聊表我们5年同窗之情。下面是我的一些想
法和最近做的一些工作。欢迎大家讨论。
吴娟热爱着她选择的心理咨询专业，这一点近几年和她有接触的同学都有感触。但是她
最终又因为心理的问题而选择结束自己的生命。而且我感觉大学期间咱们生物系就有几
起轻生事件，可见解决大学生的心理健康问题确实有它的现实意义。我就想是不是可以
由我们这些同窗和吴娟的好友，建立一个基金来资助科大的心理健康工作。
有了初步想法，我就和校友基金会和科大做了些联系。校友基金会方面后面有讲。科大
方面我联系了科大心理咨询中心的主任孔燕教授，她原来是少年班的老师，我对她有一
定了解 |

work load, the ball park number was $6000.
There is one AF life-time member who has real world experience in hiring for
auditions for his/her own business in Eastern USA. S/he recently informed
us the amount could be between $10K-20K.
There are two issues here:
(1) For a one-time auditions to cover the past 15 years of records, it will
cost a lot more than a yearly or bi-annually audition because of more work

Is this really what the best you and Joe Liu can do? You see, according
to 常识, Gold Medal means No. 1 :)
How do you know what I said or not said to Jiang Chengyu and
Zhou Quan? Why do you intentioanlly left out the sentence
"双方同意，在新创基金架构确定后，双方将签署合作谅解备忘录。”?

for USTCAF with close to $48K raised. It was dominated
by two large donations from LIU Xiucai(773) and CHEN
Lei(780) and contributions to 8211 subfund kicking off
celebration for the USTC 50th Anniversary.
USTCAF greatly appreciates following alumni, friends

trend with $71,880 raised. It was dominated by $52K

发帖数: 694 | 12 吴娟生前热爱着她的心理专业，没想到她却因为心理的原因选择了结束自己的生命。
斯人以逝，我们该用什么方式怀念我们的同学呢。我有个想法，我们是不是可以以吴娟
的名义由我们这些同窗或者好友，建立一个基金（可以在 USTCAF或者IF下的subfund),
用以资助科大的学生心理健康的工作。比如加强学校已经有的心理咨询室，或者一年资
助1-2次心理健康周的活动。应该不会需要很多资金。当然具体运作，和可行性还需要
进一步探讨。我这里也就想抛砖引玉。 |

here is the step by step instruction --
1. Make a $400 (or 3000 equivalent RenMinBi) donation a year for four years
(currently $430=RMB3000 -- March 2008).
Click Make a donation at http://ustcaf.org/d//donation/
2. When you fill the form, please specify that you are a new Goodwill
sponsor, and how many students you will support. Then you will be emailed
with a new subfund name, such as GWabc, where abc would be the initi |

IF 就是主要基于国内的，IF 也借助 AF 接受海外的捐款。
似乎有人觉得把 AF 办成 IF 海外分部更好
但偶要说，AF 比 IF 早那么多年头，人都是志愿者，
这些年的努力哪能随便放弃。
IF 还是打消这个念头算了。不然 IF AF 合作关系破裂的话
IF 没法通过 AF subfund 接受海外捐助，反而竹篮打水一场空。 |

simple dinner to exchange info can be reported as "Formal Meeting"
with so called "agreement".
Any real negotiation between AF and IF happened after August 2007
when Mr. Joe Liu demanded Zhang Shangyou to transfer "USTCIF subfund"
money (note: legal asset belong to USTCAF) but refuse to disclose
who should receive this money.

to have independent audit done annually.
If some volunteer CPA(s) would like to offer their help in auditing, why not
ustcaf to accept it!
At this stage of annual incoming donations of about $20K if you exclude
subfunds, it is a practical issue of affordability.

USTCAF网站实在太落伍了, 而且不好用,
前面有同学说, 那个subfund看上去根本就是一个矩阵
我也是同样感觉. 根本不知道里面是什么意思
能不能改进网站?
另外现在的网站是英文的,
可不可以做成中文的?起码中英文两个版本?
