发帖数: 301 | 1 Stoneham属于Metro Boston。好歹在I-95/128环内。但这可不是一个什么
好Town。在美国称为好Town的，一般就是学区好的Town，这些Town里的
房屋中间价格很高。由于房屋中间价格高，就产生“优生劣汰”，渐渐为
注重子女教育且有经济基础的家庭占据。这些家庭一般教育程度高，因此
在文明礼帽和个人修养方面也比较高，对生活品质的追求也比较高，从而
使街区市镇更加利于居住。当然，更有钱的人则把子女送私立学校。
Stoneham不是这样一个镇。Stoneham在Great Boston的郊区市镇里可能排
在中游。
Boston附近的好镇一般都在西边。比如Concord, Lexington，Accton，
Weston，Newton，Wellesley，Wayland等。其中Wellesley在中国非常
有名，因为它有个女子社区学院非常好，以至于宋庆龄三姐妹都要到那里去
读书。
总结Boston周围的好市镇，有一个非常简单的规律：MCAS（Massachusetts
Comprehensive Assessment System，相当于中国的中小学联考）排名越高

不知道Stoneham还叫不叫boston地区，

叫Taste of Siam 暹罗味，在Stoneham。整个体验相当好，给8分。
店面小小的，加起来七八个台差不多,内修利落整洁。服务也好,气氛可以叫温馨。三个
人叫了 Taste of Siam crispy pad Thai 本楼炸泰式米粉;Ped Makham 罗望子鸭 还有
Massaman Curry 玛沙曼咖喱鸡。
我是第一次吃炸的Pad Thai,菜单上看了就不错，拿上来配的天妇罗虾，佐泰式花生酱
，一叠子炸的东西不好吃都难。玛沙曼咖喱用个小火煨着拿上来，一直可以烫着，不错
。罗望子鸭还有玛沙曼咖喱还好，对我的口味来说都偏甜，但是都很精细。总的来说这
几道都偏甜，主要是为了迎合今天客人口味。下次有机会试试他们的冬荫功，绿咖喱什
么的。
器具质而洁，饭食美而精，我们座谈直到10点过半不察，主人也没有一点催促的感觉。
三个菜，两瓶啤酒，两份茶，加税人均20整。可去，加到手机里。 |

发帖数: 35582 | 15 Boston/Cambridge区域基本上得离城里越远，才不那么拥挤，房子周围才有些绿地。
不过每天早晚上下班进出城的traffic那简直就是nightmare。
如果你不想挤在cambridge附近租房的话，适合家庭居住，上班也不太难(单程40分钟能
到cambridge的)，可以看的就是往西的newton，往西北的Belmont, watertown,
waltham, medford, arlington, winchester，往北的melrose, stoneham。
近一些的Allston, somerville, everett, malden安全基本没问题，出租房多，价钱也
很便宜。不过邻居都是blue collar working class，房子质量很破，很挤，估计带两
个孩子你不会满意的。这几个地方的apartment complex有很多出租的，高档的比如
wellington地铁站边上的river edge，stationlanding我去看过，除了贵，没啥不好的

out the lower level. Because there's only half bath room down there, the
tenant need to come upstairs for shower. My tenant is ten yrs younger than
me...he usually locks the door when he's using the shower....
The same with previous tenant, am. boy 24-25ish...he locks the door as well.
...
it's just a personal habit for more privacy...no other thoughts..i'm
completely ok with that...
LZ is being a bit over-sensitive.

I checked out several houses in Reading several month ago, price-wise they
are about the same as Burlington and Wakefield. School district is above
average, probably the same level as Burlington, Wakefield, Canton, Needham.
It has commuter rail access to North Station, and is surrounded by I-95 and
I-93. If you work in Stoneham, Winchester, Burlington or Woburn this would
be a great choice in terms of commuting, however if you work further down
south close to downtown you'll expect bumper to bu |

My closing attorney was Matthew T. Desrochers, he was recommended by my loan
agent,in which both are co-located in Stoneham, MA. Couple complaints that
people should be aware of:
1) Unresponsive to phone calls and emails especially a few days before my
closing date.
2) Solicited additional P&S review fees on top of closing cost (good faith
estimates included p&s)
3) While nothing catastrophic took place during and after the closing (thank

year golfers, high 90s, with decent pace. All levels are welcome (well, hope

york zoo主要的优点：地方小，不用走太多路，动物很多很密集，一眼看到
一大群动物，多开心啊！ 能看到大象的表演，能在小河里划船。能近距离
喂鸭子和小羊。还有一大群小鹿。缺点是冬天不开门。：）
