我HIRE 了一个 plumber， 他的结论是，问题不在管子，或者spout， 而是insulation
不好，因为都是shirock wall. 他建议，把洗澡龙头周围都打开，装insulation。
请问，这样的工作是什么样的人做的，我如果要在yellow book上找的话，这样的人英
文叫什么？
谁能告诉我，大概需要多少钱？

发帖数: 1246 | 47 没有french drain，code里面要求平坦和低洼等不易排水的地势才要french drain,我
的房子在一个坡上，排水通畅，所以没有。做设计的时候，心里也没根，担心万一房子
以前装了french drain，那我的扩建项目inspector肯定也得要求french drain，但我
决定赌一把，后来基坑挖完发现以前的房子就没有french drain，只是有接down spout
的drain。爽了一把。
另外一件更爽的事是，设计基础墙的时候，不知道高度多少合适，查了一些code，都是
要求5尺高，这就意味着得浇两次混凝土，费用不低，但既然code有要求，只有照办。
图纸交上去审批的当，很多人说这里的冻土层很浅，大多数是两尺或三尺的基础墙，五
尺有点太过了，因为没有code依据，我也有点将信将疑。但后来考虑太高的墙导致成本
显著提高（5尺的墙比4尺的墙成本高出30%），于是又厚着脸皮跟county联系看看能不
能改图纸上的数据，一个lady跟我打官腔说，改图纸可以，但得重新排队（我当时已经
等了快两个月了，马上就要轮到审我的图了，重新排队意味着这两个月就白等了），把

今天早晨正式拿到的permit，简直爽得不得了，可以正式开工了。忙活了几个月，终于
拿到了。自己设计的所有图纸，比请别人设计出图省了好几千块，这个房屋加建项目涉
及到新的两层的房屋结构以及对既有结构的改造，比盖一个新房子的设计还复杂一些。
自恃已经是民用房屋结构设计的专家了。说不定将来失业了，可以依次为生呢！
顺便贴几张图纸（不是全部），给大家一个大概的概念，申请building permit都需要
准备哪些图纸。

1。要修至少跟地基一样深的French drainage 以防止雨季的地下暗流。顺便说一句，
French drainage 跟法国毛关系没有，只是最早修的是个姓french的新英格兰人。这个
很贵。主要是人工。
2。所有的down spout 都要封闭性接管到比房子地势低的French drainage 或者公共排
水处。
3。修补地基裂缝，如果有的话。
