本来想当个放羊妈, 能不推就不推, 现在可好, 不得不亲自出马推了.
儿子上K, 学校没有作业, 真是一点没有. 我觉得呢, 英文嘛,偶就放给学校了, 偶最多

结果麻烦就来了, 老师打电话反映, 儿子在学校写journal的时间光顾着画画, 理论上
应该写One page journal, 儿子大概就起个头, 最多两行. 老师都打电话到家里来了,
我能不急吗, 先教育儿子,以后先写journal, journal 写完了有时间再画画. 儿子诚恳
地点点头. 上学去了.
下午, 儿子还没回家, 老师的email就到了, 只有一行字:He tole me had to write

failure是一定要定义的，无论是在single spell的还是multiple spell。
但是，我这个data是multiple spell的，和single spell的不一样。在single spell的
data里，的确不用convert，因为failure的状态好定义。我的这个multiple spell的
data，use和drop是2个不同的variable。use 是一个阶段的状态，是duration data里
面的；drop是一个点状态，是survival data里的。use和drop相关，但是不完全相等。
不转换成survival data，就没有drop这个variable，failure不能通过use来定义，所
以无法用stset。 |

for priest, all spells of a certain sphere connected with the deity are
available once the priest meets the experience level requirement, so a
priest doesn't have to learn spells, but he/she will have a chance of
spell failure when casting it...:(
but still the number of spells that a priest can really use is limited
by the experience level, although high wisdom value can provide bonus
spells.

我是挺佩服那个孩子的妈妈的，因为home school，完全都是她操办出来的。
我可没那么奉献，也没那个条件，还得养家糊口呢。
人家spelling bee，都买那套大字典，好几百美元，还买专门的软件。我儿子当年就用
一个website，可以申请free access的，我儿子就写说：我是单亲，我妈已经够辛苦了
，我不能再让她为我出这个钱...练习spelling bee，他是用的他妹妹帮忙。结果妹妹
的spelling也大涨。

这个，是我们家的重头戏。人家那么多不知道中文的，一样的SUCCESSFUL。为什么非要
学呢？因为我勤俭，家里有中文这个资源而不用，是绝对不可忍受的。
宝宝两岁半多点儿就开始了，我们给的是卡片，就是一个字，别的什么也没有。不到三
岁的小朋友记忆力真好，每天都能记住那么一个两个的，后来三岁多点儿就认识100个
左右。印象中，宝宝总是坐在爸爸的肩膀上，认那些帖在门上的字。有一次，“狗”字
她不认识了，她在那儿想呢，正在入厕的贝贝大声喊：狗！全家愕然。其实她根本看不
见，我们也不明白她怎么知道是狗的。估计她记住了姐姐认字的顺序，姐姐说了前面的

我告诉你们一个真实的故事 我们组几年前面过一个97年spelling bee的national
champion, 是个（应该是犹太裔）的白女
当然做presentation的时候还好，大家也饶有兴趣得打听她当时参加spelling bee的事情
但是在one on one的时候就破绽百出，弄得我很愤怒 - 就是浪费时间，结果在wrap up
的时候，推荐她的是个隔壁组的头 是个老白女 她居然说这白女应该有autism, 我操，
你电面的时候怎么没发觉出来？
不过这白女后来去了citi的一个部门 是我一个国内大学的死党和我闲聊的时候说到的
也是因为她有spelling bee national champion的光环所以提到的 我死党说哦有这么
个人 P不懂 但是是上面压下来的 后来还要她了，我一听说是不是叫Rebecca? 哈哈 我
死党当时呆掉 我说那厮来我们组也面过 didn't stand a chance |

我举个例子，周末刚知道的，笑死了。
我周末给大学死党打电话，说着说着说到工作，他说他老板想给他推荐个人，说不得了
是曾经的spelling bee national champion, 我死党说不要，spelling bee champion
我不感兴趣，（死党在citi investment做的），他老板很诧异，说那人很聪明的，你
居然不要，于是给了和我死党平级的另一个manager, 人家要了。
我说这个spelling bee champion名字叫Rebacca吧，死党晕菜 ... 我说她来我们这里
也应聘过的，超烂，面试完的评论是那女生有autism！根本没有人可以容忍那样的人的
，但她为什么能拿到onsite呢？因为引荐她的那个manager很喜欢她。
哥大的硕士，曾经的spelling bee national champion，人超烂，但就那两样金字招牌
就足够给她找到个很好的工作了。

Americans use "central" but not "centeral"? "Central" is from "
centre", right? If Americans want to change "centre" to "center", I think
that they should change "central" to "centeral".
Clearly, there is no consistent spelling rules.
"acknowledgment" and "judgment" are correctly spelled words and these words
are more commonly used than "acknowledgement" and "judgement". The only
