They have been in clearance on EMP Tek's website for a while now.
EMP Tek E5Ti Tower Speakers are on clearance. They are A-stock (meaning
there is no known problems with them), but still almost 50% off. I talked
to an employee and he said they are on sale because they have an abundance
of them. Only in Red Burl finish though. Shipping is free, and tax should

if you just listened something with a sub, you won't be
satisfied with any bookshelf speakers, no matter how
expensive
they are :-) no next week, make sure the dealer turn off
the sub before auditting. and start from cheap model,
hehe
BOSE speakers are not the worst, but they have pretty
bad reputation among hi-fi fans. most people believe
their speakers are highly overpriced.

804。听音乐，尤其是交响和歌剧，落地音箱还是有必要的。看电影的话，落地音箱和
center channel就更重要了，现阶段电影80%的声音信息都从这三个speakers来。只有10%-20%是从surround speakers来的，所以后面的配个便宜的问题不大。
总的来说，个人感觉bookshelf speakers性价比不高。 |

center speaker is designed with reduced baffle step compensation so that the
bass won't be boomy with early reflections. the best general location for a
center speaker is on top of TV with the baffle flush with the screen (you

"Never heard of Martin Logan, but I have heard of Bose. I have gone to the
Bose store and physically heard and tested many Bose Speakers and from what
I learned they are the best home theater speakers for surround sound. If I
were you I would go check out some Bose stuff at a Best Buy or something and
talk to the sales associate about the high quality speakers that they have.

首先speaker阻抗是根据频率变化的，叫r(f)。amp是提供电压的，提供的电压根据频率
也变化？叫V(f)。那么在一定频率下speaker的做功就是 w= V(f)V(f)/r（f)。speaker
产生声音的能力就是db/W or dm/mW。这个和频率也有关么？叫它 dbw(f)。所以最后听
到的声音大小就是：
dbw(f)*V(f)V(f)/r（f)，你们平常看的那个曲线就是希望这个曲线尽量是水平的，保证
在不同频率的时候，耳机听到的声音大小都是一样的？请问这样理解对么？
V(f）不应该变吧，那个成了amp的性质了。speaker就是 声音大小 = k dbw(f)/r(f)。
k是一个常数。一个好耳机就是让dbw(f)/r(f)保持常数的耳机？ |

的电脑就是这样，一接上HDMI，电脑自己的speaker就自动断了，只能听显示器的

网上的，但是我的连法差不多，两根同样颜色的连负，另外两根连正再接到2-way
speaker上），所以是四根线连两根再连到speaker上。
现在的问题是，我不确定是否要upgrade tweeter，网上有人说2-way speaker自己有
tweeter，所以应该disconnect掉，但是我觉得连着tweeter效果也没有什么问题，谁有
经验的，说说看？ |
