益唐来和同学们座谈。今天的日期419在数学家眼中是个特殊的数字，因为419是一个素
数，更有趣的是它的下一个奇数邻居是421，也是一个素数。这样的素数对被称为孪生
素数。1年零2天前，也发生了一个与素数密切相关的事件，那就是张益唐向《数学年刊
》投稿，证明了间距不大于7千万的素数对有无穷多个。消息不胫而走，哈佛大学数学
系教授丘成桐力邀张益唐去做学术报告。这个时候张益唐的知名度还几乎是0，就连数

中国人最早把把火药投入战场
在中国的四大发明中，对人类战争和杀戮的历史影响最大的，不用说，就是火药了。火
药的发明、以及它被用于军事领域，是战争史上最重要的革新：在此之前，无论人们怎
样挖掘武器的形制和战术潜能，总是没有跳出冷兵器这个圈子，而当火药和制造工艺结
合、以枪炮的形态出现之后，人类自远古以来绵延数千年的战争模式就有了彻底的改变
。火药带来的变革的影响一直延续到今天；也许只有核武器的发明，在历史意义上才能
与火药相比。
中国人发明了火药，自然也就最早把火药投入战场。火药武器的出现是在北宋时期，当
在11世纪；这种最古老的火药武器，简单来说就是炸弹，以及借助火药推力把箭发射出
去的“火箭”——其后，一直到13世纪末，在中国战场上占主流的火药武器都是炸弹。
而作为后世枪炮鼻祖的身管火器出现在1132年，是以竹筒为管的粗陋的火炮；《浪客剑
心》漫画里画过一种木炮，是把原木中央掏出个洞来的土制火器，想来当年最早的竹管
火枪大概与之类似吧。

情。如果没有真实的感情，大人可以伪装出来，但是孩子是伪装不出来的。
那么，是不是说明孩子不喜欢音乐，干脆不要学钢琴了？对于是否学钢琴的问题，我从
来不参与讨论。但是，我可以告诉您，对音乐的感情是可以培养出来的。而且，往往都
是培养出来的。
除了那些五音不全，不能分辨乐音高低的人，绝大多数正常人都不同程度的喜欢音乐。
喜欢的程度取决于从小听音乐的多少。听得多，可以欣赏的音乐范围就广。听得少，喜
欢的作品就比较少。但是我没有碰到任何一个人，没有一首曲子自己喜欢的曲子。
而且，音乐欣赏是学琴第一重要的因素，只有听进去，才能理解音乐，进而学好钢琴。
音乐方面的所谓天赋，其中大部分是靠从小听音乐培养出来的。
今天我们先从最简单易懂的音乐故事开始， 古典音乐中有不少这样的有趣作品。
