that's 8 years to get a bachelor's degree...worth it?
if you can transfer within 2 years, which is very rare, it is the best route
in all accounts.
but why not get a bachelor's degree in china in four years and apply for
master program in csu/uc. more cost-effective in terms of both time and
money. |

一边又得给100多sophomore做TA...忙得焦头烂额的头上，忽然发现车子钥匙转不动
了，方向盘也锁死了，网上search了一下遇到这种问题的人很多，用边转方向边拧
钥匙的方法对我来说根本没用.好不容易熬到了这个周一，把paper交了，项目review
应付了，可又是一周15个小时的office hours和prepare hw solutions，车子一直
没空修。今天下午做完office hours终于空出时间给AAA打了个电话，一位大叔开着
拖车过来，拿着个锤子冲着钥匙就是两下，然后一拧就打着了，我考，这么神！
以为这样就算好了，把车子开了两圈又回到停车场熄了火，tnnd，又不行了...
学着大叔的样子也敲了一通，敲弯了一把钥匙，可算打着火了，不敢耽搁赶紧开往
dealer处修理，换了个key cylinder,花了$300。sigh,祸不单行，回家以后忽然发现
一直运行良好的desktop竟然无法启动"System Fatal Error"，怪不得这几天右眼一
直跳，这到底 |

我来写一篇OU的分析。先从进攻说起：

根据剑桥市警察局和麻省理工学院校警，家住宾州Chesterbrook镇的MIT 机械系二年级
华裔学生王菲比(Phoebe Wang, 译音)23日被人发现在宿舍中死亡。
MIT校长瑞福(L. Rafael Reif )通过校内电邮网发布“令人心碎”的消息。他说，王菲
比是MacGregor 宿舍中十分活跃的成员，也是MIT 交响乐团的笛子乐手。她的朋友珍惜

Two years ago, I called USU VP and he confirmed that the BIT&USU's program
is the real deal. After four years you get a real USU deploma without any
fine prints - just as if you were in Logan Utah campus.
So my relative attended the BIT&USU in BIT for 40K RMB/year. After one and

freshman, 10年级的称为sophomore, 11年级的称为junior，12年级的为 senior。
周二到周五，我一直在各个班级听课。或者参加一些系里面的会议。
在来这所高中之前，我就听到房东老头子和老太太谈到这个学校的一位military
history（军事）历史老师，说他很固执不化，说这个人崇尚战争在****征兵等方面不
遗余力，等等。总之，他们对这个人没有好感。
第一次见他，是校长领我熟悉各个教室的时候。我们在走廊里走，迎面走来一名男子。
校长把他介绍给我，他热情地请我去他教室里听课，我感到很疲倦了，说：No, not
today, later.（不，今天不了，稍后再说。）他送了耸肩，说，You blew me off!（
不给面子啊）我笑了笑，没说什么。我跟校长就走了。
周四下午第9节课，Social Studies Department（社会学系）开会，我受邀前往，我们
主要讨论一下我要讲授的课程和时间安排。

昨天在MBBC单打，以9：11输给了UCSB的一个PPMM。休息时聊起来，老九已经有17
年的球史。其中一位终于忍不住问，“17年球史，你老就打成这个德行，是什么原因让
你居然一直还在打？” 老九一怒而起，不过又马上坐下了（腿软地站不住啊）。不过
声音挺高，“4年前有一个10秒钟的时间，我觉得我有，我行。 （有是有能力的有，行
是打球行的行。这可不是什么儿童不宜的产品的广告词。）当然，听的人立刻连呕带吐
，倒了一片。
17年球史的一个10秒钟瞬间：
那是一个北京夏天普普通通的清晨，在奥体中心羽毛球场。老九应表舅的邀请去打
球。一到球场，小彦表舅向一个正在热身的女孩招招手，那个女孩忙跑过来。小彦表舅
指着老九说，“这是二姨姥的长孙，是你的表哥。” 又对老九说，“这是小龙表舅的
女儿，小福。” 叫小福的女孩鞠了个30度的躬，叫了声表哥。
小福表妹对老九是“两万五千里长征――听说过，没见过”。 知道是河北石家庄
小龙表舅的女儿。曾停学一年在省少年队练羽毛球，进青年队时，由于爆发力不够好，
待了半年就被淘汰了。所以22岁了，还是sophomore，可以享受寒暑 |

has been handed to him on a silver spoon -- quite the opposite, I think he
has been, frankly, discriminated against, underappreciated, undervalued.
People don't understand how unbelievably mentally tough he is. You've got to
think about what shaped him. Here you are, the best player on your high
school team. You win a state championship in California! You beat a national
