瘦一点，平时我经常去那家瘦子的车拿COMBO ON RICE。
今天从TARGET出来，眼看着瘦子那家好几个人在排队，我想这HALAL FOOD都差不多，干
脆在胖子那边拿吧，那边只有一个人在等。
我走到车前面，胖子正在忙着给在等的客户做东西，车上的贴纸是很多HALAL FOOD都用
的那种，COMBO标着是5刀一份。胖子看到我走近他的车，就抬头问我 ”What do you
want?" 我就回答："chicken and lamb combo on rice, no onion."也不知道胖子听见
了没有，就看他继续低头在铁板上敲敲弄弄，那个车身是比较高的，不掂脚是肯定看不
到铁板上有什么的。
胖子问我前面的客户，要什么调料，客户告诉他要white and hot，胖子就继续做，等
他把这盒做好，放到塑料袋里，我以为这个客户已经搞定了，下一个该我了，就掂脚，

bleach和钢丝球都试过，效果不是特别理想，于是当时是浴室费尽九牛二虎之力彻底清
理过一次后直到closing都再没有用过那个浴室。
搬入新家，那个玻璃门开始的时候亮闪闪的，过了几个月之后同样的污垢又开始堆积。
上网google了几个方子都特别罗嗦，但是都提到baking soda (NaHCO3)。今日闲来无事
，决定试试，结果发现用湿抹布或者sponge沾上baking soda，污迹立去，非常有效。
用baking soda还有几个最大的优点：1）去污快，简直是药到病除。2）没有气味，虽
然鄙人是化学出身，知道baking soda没有气味，还是开了抽风机以防万一，结果发现
完全没有必要。3）多于的baking soda清理很容易，由于是水溶性的，直接用水一冲就
干净。
本人是粗汉子，直接就上手干了，不过干完之后感觉手很dry，因为baking soda把手里
的油脂也洗干净了。如果对自己的手比较在乎的同学，可以考虑带橡胶手套（那些一次

我查了一些油条的方子，主要是泡打粉(baking powder)和苏打粉(baking soda)。但是
查一下泡打粉就知道，它是由苏打粉(baking soda)，酸化的代理物(cream of tartar)
和干燥剂(usually starch)组成，就是说泡打粉就是中和好了的苏打粉。所以可以说用
了泡打粉就不需再用苏打粉，而且有网友说不用苏打的油条味道会好些。泡打粉有一次
激活和两次激活的。与水混合就产生第一次起泡，两次激活的泡打粉加热时会第二次起
泡。显然做油条应该用后者(double acting baking powder)。Walmart就有卖的。参考
一下美国的一些饼干的方子，都是把泡打粉先混进面粉里，我也对网上的方子作了这个
改动，以下是我的具体操作：
2 cups of bread flour (两杯高筋面粉，普通面粉应该也行)
1 teaspoon double acting baking powder (一茶匙双激泡打粉)

若是用面包机的话，三杯面＋1及1/4杯水（摸起来稍微热一点的水）＋2 tsp yeast
tsp：teaspoon。cup和tsp都是美国的measuring cup 和measuring spoon。
还最好加oil，salt，sugar（syrup or honey or molasses）
最好加一个鸡蛋。一个鸡蛋相当于1/4cup liquid。
如果是做馒头，就省去鸡蛋好了。
开始的时候按这个比例试试。慢慢有经验了就晓得怎么回事了。
有些active dry yeast需要前期的proof，就是先讲yeast＋水＋sugar，
以确保能发酵。
不需要在面包机里发面。和面成面团后拿出来在室内一样可以发面。
面包机的好处在于不需要直接动手和面，很累和很伤手腕的。
面包机大多是涂层的，加热涂层会掉，对身体不利。
baking soda不是和面必须的。

钱就自己动手，要不就找专业的公司做。这篇文章给大家一些家庭打扫窍门。
工具
有时候打扫得累得要死，效果却不好，后果就是越来越不想动了。很大原因是工具没有
选对。工欲善其事，必先利其器。工具选对了才能事半功倍。
1）microfiber cloth。用旧衣服dusting不是一个好主意。这种cloth不是棉的，没有
lint，这样不会留下痕迹和一些条纹。ebay上搜搜有很多，不到1刀一条。可以弄2种颜
色，浅颜色弄厨房和玻璃，深颜色弄厕所和地板。专业的洗车和清洁公司也用这种，还
可以用来polish。heb的这种variety pack也不错。

看见疯人的帖子想起来的。
用少量小苏打粉裹上羊肉块腌上半个钟头，不要加任何其他的调料腌制，烤的时候放孜
然辣椒面，盐一定要最后加，不然水分在烤的时候都流失了。这样就算用costco的瘦羊
肉烤出来的羊肉串一样jucy而且不老。这个是我从同事那里学来的窍门，他的烤羊肉串
本单位著名，可惜已经海归去了。我用他的窍门自己做过一次，口感还不错，比以前烤
的强多了。
忘了说了，烤的时候要刷油，或者用那种喷的油，costco有卖的。

钱就自己动手，要不就找专业的公司做。这篇文章给大家一些家庭打扫窍门。
工具
有时候打扫得累得要死，效果却不好，后果就是越来越不想动了。很大原因是工具没有
选对。工欲善其事，必先利其器。工具选对了才能事半功倍。
1）microfiber cloth。用旧衣服dusting不是一个好主意。这种cloth不是棉的，没有
lint，这样不会留下痕迹和一些条纹。ebay上搜搜有很多，不到1刀一条。可以弄2种颜
色，浅颜色弄厨房和玻璃，深颜色弄厕所和地板。专业的洗车和清洁公司也用这种，还
可以用来polish。heb的这种variety pack也不错。
2)买个鸡毛掸子打打灰，尤其墙角的蜘蛛网。如果想更专业一点，可以买一个可伸缩的
杆子，这样再高的房顶，吊灯或者电扇都能打灰了。walmart就有卖，叫做extendible
duster
3)一面黄一面蓝的海棉，家里厨房都用。其实可以放一个在厕所和洗澡的地方，
scrubbing一些build up的污渍很有效的。

发帖数: 211 | 47 家里的厨房下水管道一直不很通畅。曾经请人专门疏通了一次，不过不久又有些堵，下水变慢。后来在一个美国吝啬鬼网站找到个偏方。兴冲冲试了下。刚试完效果不明显。以为不管用。第二天一看，好了。推荐一下。你可以在找人疏通前先自己试试。
材料：baking soda,食用盐，洗衣液，白醋
做法：（最好在晚上睡觉前，不用水的时候）
1.找一个塑料盒（我用的是豆腐盒子），把baking soda和盐差不多按1：1比例混合。baking soda可以稍微多些。
2.在盒子里加入洗衣液，适当搅拌。最后成胶状物质。
3.烧一大锅开水
4.把胶状物倒入下水道， 加一点点开水冲下去。然后马上倒入白醋。这时候会有很多泡沫产生。马上再把烧好的一锅开水全部倒下去。
5.然后就去睡觉。第二天如果还堵可以再重复操作。
材料比例没什么严格规定。堵得不厉害的就少用，厉害的就下猛药。我的估计堵的地方比较靠近总管处。用量就稍多点，大概是一盒baking soda，半盒盐，一杯洗衣液，1.5升白醋。
希望安大略湖不会因此变得又酸又咸的。 |

发帖数: 977 | 48 7/5/2012-7/16我们一家6口（两个小孩6岁和8岁及我爸妈）去Costa Rica玩儿了10天，
昨天回来，总结一下。
去年听一家美国人说起他们去Costa Rica玩觉得很好，就计划也去玩一次。CR分旱季和
雨季，6月到11月是雨季，人少又便宜一些，而7月头半个月被称为雨季中的旱季，于是
就决定这时候去。
去CR如果有绿卡或公民就不需要任何手续。我主要在tripadvisor上做研究，定了旅馆
及租车以及行程安排，下面是整个过程。
第一天：开车到Chicago Ohare，车停在Pride airport parking, $6.5一天。值得注意
的是最后取车时我发现车被开了不少，因为油少了1/4，但是因为我没记里程表，也没
办法说什么，所以大家今后长期停车要记里程表以防万一。AA的飞机经Dallas到Juan
Satamaria internation airport.路上一共7个小时，下午7：15pm到机场。事先定的旅
馆Robledal Hotel派人在机场外拿牌接机。需要注意的是机场的exchange兑换率不好，

第二 可以局部洗就不要全洗
第三 可以不用任何洗涤剂就不要用。club soda最好
局部洗：衣服放平脏的地方下面垫张毛巾 在脏的地方洒一点club soda，然后用paper
towel或者毛巾blot，动作要轻一点 一定只是blot，千万不能抹，会把那块料子撑大的
，重复若干次。尽量争取只用这个方式就把衣服弄干净了。一般滴在衣服上的油如果及
时，club soda就能blot干净了。 如果club soda不够，再升级用稀释的mild soap or
shampoo同样方式blot，清也是同样方式用清水blot。垫在下面那张毛巾如果太湿了就
换到干的部分。完后用吹风机 低档冷风吹一下就可以了。
全洗 一般在穿过多次后为了清洗整体灰尘和汗的话 冷水和mild soap or shampoo就可
以。完了不要拧，凉起来 等excess water滴干但还是湿的时候放进烘干机 用heatless
airfluff一档 哄到衣服干为止 衣服需要在烘干机里一直转动不能停止 所以烘干机一
停必须马上取出衣服 否则会出褶
