这个state of nature 中文翻译成自然状态，但是具体指的是那种状态呢？这个词发源于
那一学科呀？我百思不得其解。曾经自己以为是自然状态中的国家。shame.
另外，Adam ferguson 在谈到civil society 的时候说 civil society is a socially
desirable alternative both to state of nature and the individualism.

下面是我女儿在高中三年级（2015-2016学年）选修高中《美国历史大学先修课》（AP
American History）时所写的学期论文（junior thesis）。本地高中学生一般公认高
中文科最具挑战的课程就是《美国历史大学先修课》。我女儿总体上比较爱好理工科课
程，对我这个文科专业的父亲来说，总觉得高中文科的课程也是极有意义的。然而我女
儿是一名多年参加体操俱乐部系统训练（每周要有20多小时的体操训练，还要加上外出
参加比赛的时间）的运动员，因此对选修这门阅读量很大的美国历史大学先修课程颇有
顾虑。我考虑到这门课程的对女儿的阅读，思维和写作都有很大帮助，就极力鼓励她选
修这门课程，并且“保证”如果学期成绩只能获得B也不会有所“责难”。最后女儿“
不知深浅”地选修了这门高中文科重头课程，即使在就读期间她还一直有点“耿耿于怀

much less than the kid who was born in 1 kid family.
For these who has 1 kid, they may retire at 65. They may live until 90(too
bad, human live longer and longer). That is 25 years, and their living
standards are much higher than raising a kid. A kid can walk without care
when he is 5, a old persion may need help walk since 80, then 10 years need

這個領域在美國非常小
或許因為如此 所以competition較低 (但是跟大領域比起來我的背景就弱了)
想問一下各位的經驗，是否有機會走Eb1A
學歷: 台灣DVM, 美國PhD + 獸醫臨床病理residency 3年 + Diploma America college
of veterinary pathology(ACVP) (這是專科醫師證書，要考試的，pass rate大概是
40-50%)
獎項: ACVP的年會中拿過1 次 ACVP Young investigator award(YIA), 2次ASVCP YIA,
1次toxicological pathology student speaker award. 基本上都是本領域年會的大
獎，但是都是在當residency的時候拿的。 另外一個Socity Toxicological Pathology
年會的YIA我也拿過一次。 被學校提名CL DAvis scholarship award 每個學校只有一

includes all (quote its webpage) "astronomy & astrophysics,
geophysics, solar and solar-terrestrial physics, and
planetary sciences".
It is unlike in US, which has American Geophysical Union
and American Astronomical Society, two separate
organizations.
So, if following UK style, the new board should be named
"astronomical". |

那一学科呀？我百思不得其解。曾经自己以为是自然状态中的国家。shame.
另外，Adam ferguson 在谈到civil society 的时候说 civil society is a socially
desirable alternative both to state of nature and the individualism.
我也就不明白这个自然状态和civil society 怎么相对。 |

（以下简称SON）最初应该是托马斯·霍布斯在《列维坦》（Leviathan)
里提出的一个概念， 指的是 one in which there were no
enforceable criteria of right and wrong. Each person took for himself all that
he could; human life was “solitary, poor, nasty, brutish and short.” The
state of nature was therefore a state of war。
这是现实主义的理论基础之一，其实霍布斯的SON就是现实主义Anarchy。
后来的约翰·洛克，批判的继承了这一观点，在《政府论》（Two Treatises o

的教人家弹劾谁谁谁，你当人家xiaochaiyu有闲工夫跟你似的什么正式应诉。。。pets
的风格就是轻松自然，我觉得人家说过光荣中枪，一笑而过，比有些人上来搞事高尚多
了。人家还忙着回家遛狗呢。
说起来，什么shelter啊，什么human socity啊，都是这些官样文章搞多了，力量不用
在正地上，一年枉死多少猫狗。
总之，pets就是pets的氛围，不需要些外人来指手画脚。 |
