code是computer science teacher, postsecondary. 现在eb1b的律师说140上的soc
code可以和当初h1b材料上不同，建议用computer and information and research
scientist.
有点担心这些不一致会导致移民局rfe吗？一直是同一个雇主，同一份工作，h1b申请时
的soc code难道不应该和绿卡申请表上的soc code保持一致吗？
还有据说485 pending180天后换工作如果是eb1b 最好还是在同一个领域，这样看律师
选的soc code要好一点，因为到时可以去其他大学或者去公司，如果用当初h1b时的soc
code就只能还去学校了。
有没有哪位大侠有经验的可以帮忙指点一下？多谢了！ |

发帖数: 550 | 3 公司最近刚给extend了H1B，已批，结果拿到材料后才发现LCA中的SOC code和几年前申
请PERM的时候的SOC code不一样。H1B用的是15-1141（Database Administrators）,
PERM上的是SOC code15-1132 （Software Developers, Applications ），实际工作中
倒是两个都有涉及（小公司）。请问两个SOC code不同，这个会有什么问题吗？
BTW, 目前的stage是485 pending > 180，近期打算跳槽。是不是下一份工作用EAD，然
后找SOC code尽量跟PERM中的一样最好？ |

方向，有可能会影响485的申请，现在迷茫了，请大家分享一下经验。
具体情况：I20上为化学专业，但是具体的研究方向为材料物理，所以在推荐信和PL里
都是写的材料物理，觉得物理更符合我做的方向，所以想选physicisit作为SOC code。
但是现在担心选了物理，等到申请485的时候，会不会让IO们以为我没有坚持自己的专
业方向（化学）？

发帖数: 189 | 25 140批了，可是突然发现傻X律师居然在file140的时候把我的occupation的soc code写
错了，写的code是完全不相干的一个专业。所以140的approval notice上面写的也是这
个错的code。因为file 485的时候要交supplement j，上面又要填soc code。我问律师
怎么办，律师居然毫无歉意地说没事，说140上job的描述是对的，只是code写错了，不
会有影响。说交supplement j时上面就写对的code，底下说明一下就行了。可是我很担
心这样会不会让uscis又重新回去申我的140，会不会推翻之前的approval，或者让重新
申请？140好不容易才批了，等着拿绿卡拿ead都不容耽误啊！
申请绿卡漫漫好几年，碰到的律师无论是自己找的还是employer指定的，都没有一个用
心的。提醒大家多检查检查这些表，没有任何一个人会比自己对自己的事情负责任，律
师们真的就是鸡肋。 |

各个模块都是现成买的，小公司、大公司都一样，需要的就是根据具体需求把各种IP搭
成具体芯片的能力。这个趋势很明显，ARM+DSP+Accelerator都能买到。。。
但是大家的产品还是很不一样，里面的differentiator就是SoC Architect的能力
这个方向需求会越来越多。 |

Standard Occupational Classification），不知道怎么选，professor选项里没有和
我的专业特别合的，我博士是microbial genetics，一直做微生物次级代谢与drug
discovery；现在实验室主要做海洋天然产物。Professors里几个可选的bactetiology,
biochemistry, phamacology, oceanography, 虽然都有涉及，但是感觉不那么合。大
家帮帮忙，你们当时怎么选的？
另外，怎么上次弄（EB1a）好像没记得填这个东西。
