发帖数: 486 | 3 第一次使用Honda two stage snow blower HS624/828，是带轮胎的那种型号，买的二
手货。遇到一个问题：当关闭发动机，并将Transmission lever拨到松开的位置（空档
？）时，用手推动扫雪机感觉依然很吃力，尤其是很难转向拐弯，从车库里把它推出来
就费半天力气。强制转向拐弯时轮胎与地面摩擦，感觉两轮胎被锁定只能同步转动，不
能一只顺时针另一只逆时针转。也就是说，空档并不是真正的空档，轮胎还是联动着机
器内的齿轮系统，手推时阻力相当大。当然，如果将Transmission lever拨杆拨向挂挡
位置，机器根本推不动，说明这个lever还是管用的、两档还是有区别的。
请问各位有使用过two stage snow blower经验的朋友，这是不是正常现象？Two stage
扫雪机正常工作时，遇到转弯是不是很不容易、需要大力强制？感觉这是个设计缺陷，
跟剪草机顺滑的转向感觉完全不同。 |

保证当天清扫干净，会尽量在早上9点前清理，但是不保证。如果真的大雪的话，估计
还是会被堵家里。这样还不如自己干了，反正现在还有力气。
研究了一下，还是准备上HD的Ariens Classic 24 in. 2-Stage Electric Start Gas
Snow Blower。马力下一些，但是够用了，关键是免费运到家。 |

发帖数: 1557 | 13 四月到十一月扫街，十一月到四月不扫街，但按冬季规定停车，通常只能一边停车，很
多街道在snow emergency 时两边都不能停，否则拖车加罚单。具体的规定在town的网
站上能查到。如果预报有snow emergency级别的大雪，最好提早准备，借不到driveway
停的话，就花钱停两天车库，总比拖车加罚单好多了。 |

弟兄们最好不要自己上屋顶清雪，太滑。
正确的方法是：
用雪耙。 snow rake, 接上 extension rod, 有三丈长，
站在院子里，就把屋顶的雪清下来了。如果需要，在院子里放个6尺人字梯，站在梯子
上干（有人扶梯子最好）

市长menino说老子提前了快24小时就宣布snow emergency了,管你雪堆没堆起来呢.
我觉得你应该等雪大了,找个路边的snow emergency牌子上沾满了雪盖的看不清的时候拍
张照,最好是给你开票相似的中午时分,相机的日期也改一下.
然后拖到3个星期期限的最后一天大家的记忆都开始模糊的时候交appeal.
管appeal的人手一软可能就放了你了.
当然我这个是在教唆制造伪证.罪过不小.

好像这意思就是，我们已经通知大家了，你们自己要注意，虽然地上现在还没有堆一点

雪了，周围也有撤停着，也没收到ticket,想dispute,不知道parking ban是啥时候
officially结束的？
Issue ticket的是个叫DCR (department of conservation and recreation), 还不是
city的，这年头为啥什么部门都能发ticket.. 他家还不能网上appeal,非得寄过去.. |

We bought these tires in winter 2010 for our Honda Odyssey minivan (235/65R-
16) and used in two winter seasons (2010, 2011) on local travel (totally
about 2000 miles) only. They are still in excellent/like new condition.
These snow tires are very useful for winter driving in icy dates in Iowa and
we love them. Unfortunately, we have to sell them because we are leaving

5am: 起床，洗漱，吃饭, 打包，喂狗，装车。
5:45am: 启程。5分钟后上91号，55英里高速耗时约45分钟。近7点左右上CA-330进入山区。山路崎岖，车多路窄，阳光刺眼，几个转弯处有结冰，出现一次小侧滑（前驱coupe，普通胎，无雪链）。7点半左右已有大量滑雪者在路边加油站补给。加油站厕所有数人排队。
8am: 到达Snow Summit Blvd，停车场挂“已满”牌子，向管理小工挥动10美元钞票寻求帮助，未果。左转停在Brownie Parking, 乘坐疑似印度进口的四面透风站立式shuttle bus来到位于山脚下的base。发现有$20的VIP parking未满，但觉得shuttle也很方便。
8:15am: 排队买lift ticket和rental，day lift ticket $66, ski and boots rental $30, damage waiver $2. 与Mammoth相比价低20%左右。 |

The snow wall is taller than 6 feet around the drive. But it's certainly a
huge plus to the breathtaking view.
No snow chain is necessary, in a clear and warm day on 62.
But on a rainy day here (snowy day at Crater Lake), visibility will be close

，去的人多，雪常被踩平了，没有野趣。我曾经想去走那种 forest service road，那

slopes. I think it is important to remember that the snowshoes can react
similar to crampons if you lose control and start sliding a long distance.
Also, snowshoes are too big, less flexible, and reduce the balance and
control on harder snow and ice surfaces. The crampon under the snowshoe
binding and or the snowshoe itself may suddenly catch on an obstacle.
This could cause you to lose more control and even cause an injury |
