发帖数: 126 | 1 我今天在Menards閒逛，看到有個MTD two stage snow blower $425 外加 11% rebate
，覺得很便宜就買了。買完了有覺得體積太大了，放在車庫裡感覺還挺佔地方。就想是
不是應該買一個single stage的小巧一點的？ 我在midwest, 三車庫driveway面積大概
是 30x50的樣子。感覺這裡一般都是4-6“的snowfall, 當然偶爾也有超過12”的時候
，不過那時候估計好多地方也關門，也work from home. 清理drive way 慢一點也無所
謂。不知道single stage的能不能應付。
諸位有用過MTD snow blower嗎？ 這個用的是powermore的engine. 看網上有人評論說
這個算是個ok 牌子，要好的得上Honda, Briggs Stratton,Ariens可是一看價格比MTD
還是高了好多。
在Lowes看了這三個，大家有經驗的覺得比起來之前那個MTD的是更好的選擇嗎？ 手裡

方面的信息？ 明天算是SNOW EMERGENCY? 几点必须挪走车？？
四月到十一月扫街，十一月到四月不扫街，但按冬季规定停车，通常只能一边停车，很
多街道在snow emergency 时两边都不能停，否则拖车加罚单。具体的规定在town的网
站上能查到。如果预报有snow emergency级别的大雪，最好提早准备，借不到driveway
停的话，就花钱停两天车库，总比拖车加罚单好多了。 |

到是Snow emergency，也没有注意到是Snow emergency Route。结果车被拖走，
ticket42美金。
lg的意思是我们要去court contest，我觉得这完全是我们的疏忽和错误，没有可以
argue的理由，理应被罚。而且因为lg去提了车，他希望我去contest,我觉得没有去的

am not sure if she is right though now.
Anyway, after several investigations, I think both has very dry snows
in overall. We can always hear the assertion that *** has the driest
and best snow on both sides, but no one has the absolute reason to take
the other down.
So the reason really depends on which resort or even which lift you go.
Snowbird for example, taking the higher lifts of little cloud or Gad-II

28 inch Snow blower is on sale at Home Depot for $599.
It is last year's model which retailed for $1100 and has been on sale
recently for $799, but was just reduced to $599 for closeout. My local

熟人的 2001 Lexus RX300，不到100K miles。高速上没汽油的指示灯亮起（真的快没
gas了），没多久车子失去动力。停路边熄火加油再启动后，车子没动力。拖回家。
昨天启动后，发动机正常，车子也能走，但一踩油门，transmission轰轰巨响。帮他送
修车铺检查，告知“somebody drove the car with the snow button activated (for
slow speed on slippery and snow surface) at high speed. This led to damage
to 4-wheel drive transmission component.”。
我在网上查了查使用手册，这个"Snow mode”在起车时跳过1档，强迫从2档开始，仅此
而已。手册也未提及要及时取消这个mode。
请问这个修车铺说的有道理吗？ |

looks impressive, especially the dual-battery mode.
also, blowing fresh snow is relatively easy for any snow blower. my biggest
challenge was to clean the hill blocking my driveway made by the street plow
truck. the hill can be 3 ft tall, made of all compressed snow, very heavy.
even with my Ariens 24, I had to chew it bit by bit. I suppose the only way
for EGO to clean that is to use both batteries. that will be a real test.

相同点都为人造雪场，雪量相同的情况下，
Mt.Baldy 的特点：近，相对于便宜一些。4:30pm 关门
Baldy的路线要比snow summit的难一些，缆车的长度好像也要长一些，坡度大一些。刚
上完课就被朋友拽到最简单的道上，一路那个惨...而且路好长，一旦滑下去，只能滑
到底或者滚到底。Baldy的课老师只在平地上教教，90分钟就搞定学生了，造成上课的
时候大家都不摔跤，下了课自己滑，新手都站不起来。 不建议上Baldy Beginner的课。
Snow Summit的优点：大，适合新手的区域和缆车多。12pm-6pm 算半天，晚上也开。新
手课程中老师会带着上缆车或者是传输带。最简单的道比较短，坡度小一些，容易控制
。听说Diamond的要比Baldy容易一下，不过也看到好几辆救护车来。
路都不难开，最近都不需要雪链。后驱车也能上去。注意安全，下山慢行。
上个月Mammoth的雪量达到14-15feet,这个星期Snow Summit只有3-5feet，不过对于初
学者也够用来摔的了吧。呵呵

本以为可以松口气了，这几天一提醒发现snow gear还缺一大堆。基本上是：
bivy sack: 这个比较没谱，便宜的贵的都有，不知道要不要买。
snow shovel：要求要买金属的，塑料的不行。
snow picket： 最常见的是MSR Coyote，这个要买3ft的？ 2ft的要不要？
glacier rope: 这个要8mm*30m的dry rope？
stove：去年REI打折的时候买了个MSR pocket rocket，据说烧水很慢，看来要退掉。
那该买啥？Dragonfly? Whisperlite? Reactor?
pot: 多大的合适？1L?
ice screw: 上次捡了一个，估计再买一个就差不多了。
ice tool: 先不管。
ice crampon：上次减价的时候买了一个BD Cyborg step in的，这东西不知道配la
Sportiva的红鞋行不行，不过我还有一双plastic boots

Cant see a point why wet snow is much better.
