The Dx of sleeping apnea can be established with polysomnography.
For the treatment of snoring, several suggestions.
1. Change the position of sleeping, sleep on one side,
2. Some spray may increase the tone of the throat muscle, that helps in mild
case. (OTC)
3. CPAP is good choice for sleeping apnea.
4. tonsillectomy is treatment of choice for those who got swollen tonsil
blocking the airway.
5. Surgery, that is not always accepted, final resort. |

mechanism of MSA sudden death. It should be treated either with CPAP or
tracheostomy.

very common among people in US.
Before, I snored very bad and my brain runs slow during the day. After
using CPAP, my brain has better oxygen level and brain runs faster. Also, my

1.search any holes on the floor and stuff it with some sponge or soft
material.
2.buy a carpet
3.watch TV in bed and use remote control to turn it off when you feel sleepy.
4.go to pharmacy to buy a nice gift( some kind of bandage put on nose to
stop snoring) for your downstair friend. |

most common cause of snoring.
The diagnosis requires a sleep-test, which involves an overnight sleep-in in
the hospital with real time monitoring of his breathing patterns. This
service is available in China as well, at least in Shanghai as far as I know.
CPAP is much cheaper in the US, however. You can order them online as long
as you provide a prescription from China.

is not a treatment for 心肺衰竭. It is for the treatment for sleep apnea (
aka snoring or 呼吸暂停综合症）.
心肺衰竭 requires medical treatment, not 呼吸机治疗. Also, bronchiolitis in
kid is an acute diagnosis, and does not lead to 肺衰竭. Chronic bronchitis
does lead to 心肺衰竭, but that is often caused by smoking, not a disease
process starting in childhood. If you truly think 心肺衰竭 is what he has,
he need to see a good doctor. |

life threatening, no need any medical intervention. just ask him to drink
plenty of water, eat lots of carrots (to loosen mucus) + have a balanced
diet (with lots of vegetables + fresh fruits). you can also use humidifier
or let him to stay in a steam shower room 20 minutes one time, three times a
day. don't go to crowded places but he still needs to go outside (like less

likely. Your father need a sleep study to determine the diagnosis, whether
it is sleep apnea, and whether it is central or obstructive sleep apnea.
Such study was available 6 years ago in Shanghai, and I bet will be more
available now. It is not a good idea to get a CPAP without a definitive
diagnosis, because it is a quite big investment and life long treatment for
the patient. |
