年底公司（eCommerce)sample sale,厂商送来给采购部门的sample，非商场柜台，从未
被试过，状态很好。有一双有小块stain，照片上可以看到。没有盒子。卖的价格其实
和原价没关系，sample sale大部分都是一堆东西一个价。

花了吗？
很多人都喜欢兰花，但知道兰花与大家喜欢吃的冰激凌有关的人，可能会少得多。有一
种兰花叫做香荚兰（Vanilla orchid）,能长出像豆荚一样的果实，里面提取出的香料
用来做Vanilla ice cream。第一张照片就是香荚兰开的花，我也是第一次见到。据说
在墨西哥，香荚兰能长到几十米长，一棵上面就能结很多香荚。
在那个兰花馆，我看到了许多稀有的兰花，还有一棵从中国偷渡过来，被美国海关没收
的黄色兰花。当然，稀有的兰花并不见得就好看，还不如普通的兰花来得艳丽。有的兰
花只有米粒那么大，看起来很不像兰花，也不显眼。
兰花属于兰科，在全世界分布很广。从物种的数目来说，兰科可能是最大的一个科之一
。商店里最常见的兰花是Phalaenopsis （照片二和三）。据说，这种兰花长得像一种
飞行中的大蛾子（phaluna），所以叫做Phalaenopsis或moth orchid。在国内，这种兰
花通称为蝴蝶兰。蝴蝶兰这个名字翻译得好，诗情画意，比蛾子兰悦耳多了。

but it's probably something like "Secret Kingdom" or "Magic Kingdom" of love
sort of thing. It'll probably qualify under this category. Also, "Beauty
and Beast”theme song from Disney might qualify.
One of my favorite love songs is from also one of my favorite movies: "Love

画画的人把什么乱七八糟的东西都能摆上席面：杯子，书本，水果，菜叶子，醋瓶子，
没有叠的被子，鞋子更不在话下。前不久翻腾父母的速写时还看到父亲画的他那双老毡
靴。也不知是爱乌及屋，还是爱屋及乌，反正就记得家里有那么一双北疆老哈萨才穿的
货真价实的高腰毡靴，极少见父亲穿，好像就是为了要画它们才买的 。还看到母亲画
的两、三岁时的我，趿拉着不知是妈妈的还是爸爸的鞋，真正地脚踩两只船，蹲在火炉
前，拿根火钩瞎乱捅；又有爸爸不脱鞋躺在床上午睡的样子，两只大脏鞋子凸出到前景
。这不又有网友最近在网上亮出自己儿子的素描习作“鞋”。
在画画人手里，捕捉情趣、神态、动态是一方面，但更多的还是线条的组合，色彩的搭
配，光暗的处理，布局的经营，等等。经常听到的也是，嗯，造型不错，质感很强，这
里再来点高光，透视比例不对头，之类。而且，越是坑坑疤疤歪歪扭扭的物体越受画画
人喜爱，就因为它们越容易被画出效果和特点来。
梵高一生画过八幅不同的鞋。皮鞋，皮靴，套鞋。变了形的，磨破底儿的，断了鞋带儿

wallet is something that you can put into your pocket. I think purses are
smaller than hand bags and pouches.

在Todd Harbor没能联系上离岛的船只，纵使带伤，我们也只能按计划继续行进。从
Todd Harbor 到 Daisy Farm有 14.9 miles。
第二天傍晚时我也开始觉得腿有些不对劲了。右腿可能有时姿势不太对，筋有些扭。清
晨起来，开始时走路都不知道该怎么迈，也只能和其他人一样僵尸般四脚八叉地行走。
这下可全靠hiking roles的借力了。忽地恍然大悟，原来我们到岛上，是为了练僵尸神
功来着！白天hiking练僵尸步法，深夜camping则在tomb般的帐篷里钻进木乃伊睡袋里
静息养功！
所幸第三天路程虽然最长，路要比前两天好走。这段路看来比较popular，路上开始有
别的背包客出现，只是正是在我们最狼狈的时候。他/她们一个个步履轻快地从我们身
边走过，我们只能让路。
沼泽地依旧不少，很多地方长着如白菜般的植物，回来一查，果然与白菜有关，是
skunk-cabbage：
看到一朵濒危的拖鞋兰（Calypso，Fairy-slipper Orchid)可惜当时只认出它是兰花，
没意识到它的稀有，也就懒得拍照 |
