Try to boost your proposed work as much as you can (why important,novel,

最近Epic在系统性的大幅裁员，有传闻公司遇到财务困难。
被裁的很多都是中国和东亚的H1b员工（Epic 内部歧视亚裔几乎都是公开的秘密），完
全没有提前通知，很多人都是立刻通知当天走人。每个组都至少裁掉了1-2个，有的整
个组都被裁掉了。
很多人都是才来2年左右的，当年被很多空头许诺骗来放弃很多很好的offer (我认识一
个放弃MS SDET的offer来的），但是等被fire的时候才发现这些许诺没有一个是写在
agreement里面的。
最近HR在搞全公司skill assessment, 其实就是预示这近期要有大幅裁员。
这种Private的公司最好别来，CEO一人专断，公司业绩完全不公开。每每公司大会也都
是报喜不报忧，没人知道公司到底在发生什么。
公司技术落后，这种工作经历写在简历上完全不是亮点而是污点。（很多NY和加州的
Headhunter都跟我这么说过）

我是cg硕。
上次在siggraph job fair的google摊位揪着一个google大叔问，把人家都差点问哭了。
先问人家有木有cg呀有木有。人家说就google sketch. 我说用shader不，人家说，那
可不行的，我们只能用opengl,在cpu上算，不能用gpu,因为得保证网上的每个人都能在
自己电脑上跑，人家用的电脑不好可不能用gpu.
我听着就有点崩溃。
如果当初进校时转了CV,那我肯定去google,image search engine还是需要大大提高的。 |

甚至都不能说是决定性的因素，只要别太滥，vanillaware那种贴图游戏照样热卖
卖的销量相当红火，所以程序员本身的重要性下降了
甚至做过游戏的都有谱，做游戏程序员最好找，美工非常非常难找
尤其是好的美工，大学里培养的没用，因为美术是艺术，没有太多数学原理可以遵循
教也教不出太多东西来，完全靠个人悟性和天赋还有兴趣，不喜欢的
怎么画都很烂，喜欢的，哪怕是简简单单的sketch，你都感觉出灵魂在里面
所以大多数时候，游戏成败关键并不取决于程序员
那资本家就不需要给程序员太高工资了
跟一般的it系统不一样，一般it系统没有美工，除了少数做网页的，网页美工也不重要
其他都是程序员搞定一切，那资金往程序员倾斜也就比较合理了 |

，几乎每天都有写代码，做的产品也非迫于工作，而是爱好，所以主动请缨做了几个平
台，用户反响甚好。
开发中对算法的疑惑：
我在做backend和front end开发中，办公平台和工作流平台、cms做了多个。其中包括
报社百号记者编辑主任用到的日常工作平台，都是一人独立完成。国内做了12年PHP开
发。期间没感觉有需要用算法的地方。
窃以为对网站开发的需求而言，算法不是其中最重要的。一个产品成功，哪个是因为算
法呢？而程序员在拿到sketch之后实现的过程里，对用户体验和产品细节的把握，往往
对产品的影响也很大。像Apple的ITune、Facebook的Notes、Google的google+，我认为
都是失败产品的行列，因为用户易用性和体验太差了，太像程序员作品了。即使未名
BBS也是一样，典型的程序员作品。但市场和产品方向定位好了，就能成，期间又能用
到多少算法呢。即使扩大到非互联网行业的产品领域，iPhone的成功有多少和算法相关？

这个startup有一些价值，但是还没找到自己的策略和市场位置，现在在烧钱。
创造新价值的的确有，但很少，像slack, dropbox, sketch这些, 我愿意花几十刀几百
刀因为提高了员工的工作效率，跟每小时几十美元的工钱比，这些月费都是小意思。
买几亿几亿的真是天方夜谭，我昨天碰到venmo的第一个engineer员工，他在第一次卖
的时候cash out了，venmo也才卖了2600万而已。我估计他拿了不少，但在那工作了三
年啊！
我现在这个offer也是第一员工这个位置，但是0.25%的股份，就算是三年后卖了venmo
这个价我才cash out五万二，有啥意思。
更何况，有几个startup成了venmo呢 |

钱，和朋友一起做Startup,负责中美的市场，后来公司出一些问题，年初的时候卖掉给
另一家公司（股权置换，没法套现）。现在想找一个在湾区的公司的工作，对算法什么
的，不是很了解，想听听大家的意见，找一份靠谱的工作，怎么走比较好？ ICC? CCC?
还是自己刷题。说实话，自己刷题感觉看着会睡着。之后在大学的时候学过C， 后来
做过Verilog之类的，自己业余的时候喜欢做一些小iOS的APP, 不过都是依葫芦画瓢，
没有什么编程算法技术含量的。用XCode, Photoshop, Sketch等等做一些Wireframe，
用来给投资人介绍的prototype! 好吧！我还是想自己现创业，只是现在想找一个工作
稳定一下收入，自己创业快半年了，融资不太顺利，自己的钱也烧得差不多了。
