各大滑冰场正式对居民游客开放。随着冬天脚部的临近，是时候在纯净无垠的冰上世界
一展曼妙身姿，是时候让锋利的鞋刃在白皑皑的冰湖上划出优雅的弧度。看到这里或许
你早已按捺不住激动的心情，那么不妨先了解一下今年纽约大型滑冰场的开放情况和活
动介绍。

洛克菲勒中心滑冰场
开放时间： 10月中旬开始
洛克菲勒中心滑冰场每周七天均开放，每天共八场，一场90分钟，从早上8点30分
开始到凌晨结束。成人门票是27美元，11岁以下儿童及耆老门票是15美元。滑冰鞋租赁
费是12美元。如果组团前来滑冰（至少14人），需提前预定，门票也提供优惠，每人仅

would be another choice.
Because you can't tell from the pictures, you may want to call them to make
sure they do use the Jackson or Riedell blades. Because some tricky sellers
name the skates only for the boots. The blades are other brands which are
more inferior. Blades are the most important for skates, not boots.

looking much better skating.
My daughter got a free suite as the comp for modeling for a figure skating
clothing company. She was noticed by the scout when she skated with her
cousin who was visiting us. It just happened the clothing company was
looking for models for their clothing line. A few pictures were taken, and
she got her fancy suite just last week :) And it does look much better

suggests the skating rink did something wrong. The accident happened in its
facility, but this in itself does not make the skating rink liable. Skating
is an inherenlty risky sport. Your injury seems to be one that is
forseeable. The skating rink has a good assumption of risk defense.
What about the guy who caused your injury? Was he/she drunk? Doing something
extraordinarily risky? Maybe you have a claim against the skating r |

knees and hip when I fell down.
Besides, alpine ski is much faster than skate. I can not feel the speed when
I skate. The world alpine ski record is 251.4 km/h, but skate record is
around 60km/h, which is even slower than my skiing. |

park and Beihai park for skating.
I have a pair of short track skates bought here, but can't find anywhere to
practice, nor can I find any speed skating pals. The rink admin drives me a
way when they see the long blade... where are you now in US? Do you have
good luck finding somewhere to play?

适合新手。 一般轮子直径84mm以下，重心低稳定性好，控制性也不错，速度一般。 鞋
有点像小靴子，可以包住脚踝，借用腿部力量，长距离滑行也不累。
race skates
就是楼主说的速滑鞋吧，轮子直径在100mm以上，极速高，但是控制，稳定性就差了。
为了使脚腕更灵活所以没有保护。 全靠脚腕肌肉，长距离的话专业选手才滑得动。
performance skates介于两者之间，速度，舒适性稳定性都比较适中，适合有一定基础的
速滑关键技术就是double push，得人少路宽才能滑得起来
结合这边的trial的情况，我觉得用recreational skates是最适合的
正常滑得速度相当于小跑，小风嗖嗖的还能欣赏风景
想出汗的话就一下一下的认真蹬，double push，不比骑车慢
同样能达到锻炼的目的 |

adults. Cupertino also has a place to skate.
You can buy skate shoes at the skate place, or check Power Play Hockey (87 S
Autumn St, San Jose, CA 95110).
If you buy skate shoes from the store they typically will provide free
sharpen for some times (Power Play Hockey has 5 free sharpen service),
otherwise they charge $5 for each shoe. |

My daughter is almost 6 yrs old right now. She started ice skating in Jan.
2012, is now in Basic 4 level. She likes skating but somehow doesn't enjoy
skating with daddy or w/o friends. So, I'd like to find her an ice skating
playdate who's about same level as her. We're working parents. Only weekend
afternoon works for us right now.

开始学溜冰，想买双自己的skates，是买那种figure skates， 还是那种recreational
skates？ 上课的时候老师和有
自己冰鞋的同学都是figure skates,可是今天在冰场自己练的时候看见很多人的是
recreational的。我个人觉得后者看
着好像舒服点，可是那种看着和ice hockey的冰鞋很像诶～～
我不用（也不会）做什么高难度的动作，只要会单腿滑和倒滑就可以了。

kind of blades they were using.
最根本的问题是你有没有仔细观察过他们的刀刃是什么样的？他们用的
是传统的速度刀，也就是一体式的，在北美serious speed skater用的
都是叫clap skates，也就是前面有一个hinge后面是可以脱开的。现在
一体式的刀已经是古董了，极少有人用了。我说过以前我滑冰的室外冰
场就是个速度冰场，edmonton speed skating俱乐部经常在那里活动，
事实上我没有看到一个俱乐部成员还使用老式的速度刀。
再来说hockey stop。按说老式的刀可以做two-foot stop。但是难度非
常大，而且我个人不把这个称作hockey stop。因为hockey stop首先强
调的是急停，是想停就停。我可以不吹牛的说任何一个专业的速度滑队
员用速度刀都没有我用hockey skates做hockey stop来得灵活快速。不
是我技术多好，而是因为刀本身决定了动作。就好比我用h |

摔得一塌糊涂，不过这是题外话。
要说roller的优点是dance, artistic，貌似没有什么说服力。
roller skates的设计多年来一直没有什么大的改变，而inline
skates是在不断的出新款。估计原因也是和玩inline的人越来越多
有关。
我个人不建议网上购买滑冰用具，因为合脚这个重要的指标在网上不
容易体现。当然网上会比local店里可选的多，这点你说的也没有错。
再有，个人非常不建议去walmart买滑冰相关的用具，因为东西实在
太cheap，太不专业。当然如果只是买个入门，偶尔玩玩也无所谓。
从技术上讲roller skating和inline也有区别，看上去inline
更容易向水冰过渡。所以，综合考虑，如果让我选，我不会去选roller
skaes。 |

in her skiing. I skate with her almost every week when I take her to her
skating lesson, helping me quite a bit in skiing as well. It is a great off-
season work-out. In fact, that is the key reason I support her taking up

34.03 seconds over 500 meters while the world record inline
skater (roller) is 39.769 seconds on a 500 meter track.That means that
their average speed is:
500m/34.03sec = 14.69m/sec on ice skates
500/39.769sec = 12.572m/sec on roller skates
So it does seems that the you can attain a slightly higher speed while ice
skating.

that to do with Korean's gold medal. If you think pairs figure skating gold
is more worthy than Korean's multiple golds in speed skating, well, they
have a huge chance in winning Ladies which is a far more important event
than pairs. Besides, since Wang Meng just won a gold in speed skating, does
that mean her gold is not as worthy as S/Z's ? |

match other than Hockey fans from Russia and Norway? There is no chance for
Chinese female skaters to make into even top 10 yet lots of people in China
will tune in to watch female figure skating anyway.
Pairs is the least viewed event in figure skating because the competition
pool is way too small comparing to men and ladies. And in US, men figure
skating is viewed as "feminine" sport which turn off lots of male audien |

几个术语：
ROH: Radius of Hollow从冰刀的截面观察，两个edge和中间的hollow实际上是一段弧
线，这段弧线所在的圆的半径就是这里所说的ROH。对于相同宽度的刀刃如果ROH越大，
那么hollow就越浅。但事实上不同的刀的宽度也是不一样的，同样的ROH越薄的刀磨出
来的hollow越浅。所以这里引出下面一个术语。
bite angle: 还是从冰刀的截面观察，以edge为切点作hollow所在的圆的切线，这条切
线与两个edge所在的直线所够成的角就要bite angle。bite angle越大hollow就越深而
ROH也就越小。
rocker: 从侧面观察冰刀，刀的两端实际上是圆弧，这里冰球刀明显而花样刀不那么明
显。这个圆弧就称为rocker。这个圆弧所在的圆的半径越小rocker就越大，就更利于转
弯。
toe picks: 就是花样刀前面的齿，在跳跃中常用。 |

棒子说她小时候学过speed skating blahblah，我很担心她要说他们korean people 很
擅长speed skating，因为那样的话，我估计我要忍不住想bso一下how many percent
of the gold medal Chinese people won in the winter olympic 2010。。。后来她
们开始讨论soccer，说korean people有多么crazy about it，我想了想没说东亚四强
赛的事
我是不是太弱了？
不过由此看来，俩读phd的女将小时候都学过这学过那的，我小时候去学的是钢琴，舞
