西兰官方通过调查研究，予以断然否定。与此相应的是来自美国的两份报道：一是美国
之音（VOA）2013年12月17日报道，法轮功抛出的“活摘”谣言，不仅遭到中国政府的
明确驳斥，甚至连铁杆的反华人权分子吴弘达对此都表示质疑，让法轮功拿出证据来；
一是美国国会山出版公司网站（Thehill.com）12月11日报道，在批评中国器官采摘问
题上，美国国会众议院议员之间产生了分歧，来自加州的民主党众议院议员布拉德·谢
尔曼（Brad Sherman）认为“为获取他们的器官而对65000人被执行死刑的想象相当生
动”，“要求与他一同工作的同僚拿出支持指控中国的证据”。
对于法轮功来说，要命的就是：它根本拿不出任何一条能够起到“呈堂”作用的证
据。“活摘”谣言赖以蒙蔽世人和国际社会的就是那个貌似第三方独立调查的“大卫报
告”。2006年3月9日，法轮功网站炮制出《沈阳集中营设焚尸炉售法轮功学员器官》，
造谣中伤中国政府。时隔不到4个月，2006年7月6日，加拿大人大卫·乔高和大卫·麦
