我现在遇到一个头疼的问题，是sump pump究竟如何做drainage？
现在的sump pump是将出水管直接塞进sewer中。但是，一个sewer口，因为与另外两个
来自gutter的排水口共享，在遭遇暴雨的时候，排水会非常集中，导致sewer口来不及
排水，而致使sewer口水外溢。
原以为sewer管道阻塞，所以请来sewer service 公司的人上门查看。经检查：sewer管
道正常。建议我将sump pump排水到距离墙壁较远的后院草地上。
现在有几个方案，无法确定。
有没有朋优，有这方面经验分享？ |

意东西不要乱扔进
下水道，怕破坏了sewer系统的微生物环境，堵塞下水道，洗衣液这类的要买private
sewer friendly. 反正
比public sewer操心多。不过acton除了靠近镇中心那一块，基本都是用油和private
sewer.
private sewer 是有寿命的， 25-30年， 你买房的时候注意一下，重做一个系统
挺贵的。还有就是每几个月要雇人来请一次下水道，多长时间请一次人要看你们家使用
情况而定。 |

发帖数: 3320 | 23 换管道是个技术含量比较低的活，大部分是钱都花在挖沟上了。如果你知道sewer line
的路线和深度，你可以找你的gardener把沟挖好管道暴露出来，如果都是土地不难挖的
话，甚至自己都可以把沟挖好，最难的地方是和public sewer连接的地方，因为一般都
比较深一些。找人或者自己把沟挖好管道暴露出来，再找plumber来给你换管道花不了
几个钱。你自己找人挖沟比让plumber给你挖沟能节省至少一半的价钱。plumber一般也
是雇人挖沟。如果你的sewer line比较深的话，你甚至可以从旁边另外挖条新沟铺新管
道，只要18 inch深就可以。但是和public sewer连接处只能在那个地方，有多深只能
挖多深，没有办法。如果你不知道sewer line的路线和深度，找个plumber来给你测量
一下，也就是二三百快钱的事情，他们能精确测量出管道的走向和深度。既然你的找的
plumber已经给你估价了，他应该测量过了，因为价钱的关键是管道的深度和长度，也
就是挖沟的工作量，这个是大头。

象downspout, foundation drain, window well, area drain, 这都应该连接雨水管道
。
sump pump 也应当接雨水管道或者地表排放。 如果连接接sanitary sewer (譬如接到
clean out 上）就是illicit connection。 楼主这个应该没接错，不然sewer service
来过了还没发现的话该打屁股了。 |

厨房的sink如果水多的时候，再用garbage disposer放水，这样水下的快，但往往
basement 的sink就有水返出来。
是不是sewer pipeline哪里有点堵但没有全堵。需要通吗？snake能干这个不。
另外如果sewer pipeline 漏了，水会不会流到foundation下面，时间长了形成sink
hole。
怎么知道sewer pipeline 的cast iron pipe有break。会有味道还是mold吗？ |

从账单上看，每个月water minimum charge30刀，sewer minimum charge 26刀。也就
是说即使一个月不在家，一滴水不用都要交这小60刀。尤其是sewer,即使有这26的
minimum charge，没用一加仑还要charge相应的钱。
总觉得水费应该不会这么贵啊，因为以前住apartment的时候大部分都不收水费sewer费
的，要是这么贵的话，apartment不就亏大了。 |

发帖数: 330 | 34 前几天找plumber作一个很小的活，就是recaulking地下室sewer pipe 和basement墙
connect的地方。plumber偶然发现sewer pipe伸出basement wall后和另外一段pipe连
在一起的地方有些disconnect,不是完全disconnect,joint目前还是套在两段pipe上，
只是有段pipe有些往下沉，可能是settlement造成的。他说这会造成potential 的risk
,可
能家里的waste water哪天会出不去。至于什么时候会出事，他也不确定，可能几个月
，也可能一两年。要fix这个问题，他估计得花三到四千，因为要挖土，还有砸开水泥
的drive way.
我们很犹豫，对我们l来说这确实是很多钱。我们想能不能等等。如果以后发生waste
water block往家里返流造成damage的话，保险公司应该会cover损失吧，那时是不是也
能cover管子的这三四千的修理费。我们的保险有water/sewer backup coverage. 我的

system，而新一些的房子就只是说sewer connected，但是两者都列出了sewer company
。请问这个用septic system的，污水也都归sewer company处理么？自己还要不要定期
maintain一下这个septic system, 比如隔几年请人清理一下tank什么的。那样不是很

Usually a second water meter is installed when sprinkler system is installed.
Water going to your house got charged for both water and sewer, water to
sprinker only got charged for water (some area sewer is more costly than
water)
I have also seen some city/county charge you a flat sewer fee based on your
average water usuage in winter month. That way save them a water meter, but
you are not charged for the water that is not going back |
