经理表扬我把话讲在前面的态度, 让我等3周再接任何offer
7/27我给经理和HR发了个email, 说我得到个offer, "and I feel I’d like to take
it." HR跟我谈了, schedule 8/11 have an exit meeting with me
7/30, 公司突然开会, 说准备买我们的公司退出了, 公司要关门了. 我问HR, 我会有
severance吗? 他说, 你8/11号辞职, 公司在那之前关门, 你可以拿到severance
今天公司宣布lay off 整个部门(没有直接关门), 公司绝大多数人回家, 都拿到了
severance check, 和到今天为止的薪水.
公司把我的薪水发到8/11(虽然明天我就不上班了), 但是不给severance. 当然多拿一
周的薪水远远不如severance. |

I heard some companies ask the laid-off people to return the part of
severance package if the person is re-hired no mater as employee or
contractor within some time frame. It is reasonable for the person back as
an employee, but what is the reason for contractors? Contractors will not
get any benefit and no another severance package after the contract is end. |

BSO一下，
和公司新老板不和，三个月前开始骑驴找马，找到并接受下家offer以后，故意怠工，
同时暗示老板可以layoff我。结果给了两个月severance,而且由于是公司terminate，
所以逃过了绿卡赔付。当初办绿卡时协议是我辞职，要赔绿卡钱，如果公司terminate
，就不用付。
此外还有PTO payout,也有一个月的工资。
还有,在谈判下家的时候，利用下家挖人的心理，成功的把工资提了10%，总package提
了15%左右。职位提高了一级。 |
