发帖数: 5706 | 7 去年买了一个seagate网盘 $130多，用做NAS和备份数据。然后把所有重要数据，相片
都放了进去，还用来自动备份电脑。
后来整理电脑，把相片等数据都删掉了。这里不得不说我很蠢，以前所有活动硬盘从来
没有坏过，不等于新买的也不会坏。
结果seagate网盘挂掉了，插上电源还能听见转动，但是读不了数据。电脑上用专业数
据恢复软件尝试恢复数据，没有成功恢复所有重要文件。
Seagate warranty说只能给replace,不管数据丢失。把网盘送到bestbuy，被告诉说修
不了，只好送给seagate数据恢复部门，先交49评估费，今天被告诉评估结果是神马
raid相关的东东坏掉，要2000元恢复。我问怎么会这么贵。她说
评估是根据数据恢复难易程度来计算价格的。我伤心愤慨之余，别无他法，也只好从了。
教训啊！
从此，
第一，做好做备份的盘坏掉的准备。无论何时，都要有两份以上数据在不同硬盘或网盘
上。
第二，不再买任何无良厂商seagate产品 |

1073通用固件刷不进去（from hdpfans)，一直停留在seagate logo.
看了seagate 论坛，发现以下帖子：

29页提到：
Mod firmware stopped at 1.45. From 1.55 on, there is no Mod. The FW has been
locked by Seagate with encryption. So if you have 1.45 or earlier then you
can use Mod FW. If you have 1.55 or later then it's not possible. Once you
installed 1.55 or later, there is no way of going back.
我的firmware 是2.23
不知道是不是这个原因。

i posted this a few weeks ago.
2-3 months new seagate external 1.5TB hard drive (7200.11) dropped from 2
feet high place carpet while it was being used. I took it out of the
enclosure but i cannot get the data back. Can I assembly the external hard drive and then still send it back to Seagate for repair/replacement or something else?

另一个就是Seagate这个爷
毫无征兆的启动不了，近CMOS发现Seagate这个找不到，
卸了下来 用HITACHI正常启动
后来换下HITACHI,只挂Seagate(用Hitachi的SATA线，power线）
CMOS仍然无法找到硬盘 |

最近是个Seagate的3T USB3.0的盘在折扣，newegg上120块。看分析说里面是块
Seagate7200rpm64M cache的ST3000DM001， 可是很多负面评价，说这盘常常突然死亡
，让重新format，这是不是最近仍普遍出现的seagate的通病呢？如果这样，是不是可
以理解成seagate的大容量硬盘可靠性普遍都比其他品牌低？
大容量硬盘什么保修之类的意义没有保护数据意义大，即使是注意备份，谁还不是想同

1。哪个厂家可靠？WD/seagate都是4x%的市场占有率，如果哪家明显做的不如另一家会
是这个结果么？
2。哪个产品更可靠，同一个公司同样的技术/工艺，为啥要把一个产品做的比另一个产
品不可靠？
3。为了warranty多付的钱是买的可靠性还是保险？warranty反正不保数据，坏了给你
换一块，很大可能性还是refurbish的。
4。看看user review，所有的硬盘都有大量的complains，不管是WD还是Seagate，不管
是黑盘还是绿盘。
你说红盘，amazon的红盘review很好（183个review,4.6/5），newegg红盘review就不
咋地（130个review，3/5），你信谁的？
硬盘使用关键是用法得当，因为每一款产品都有一定的适用条件。WD绿盘就不要拿来24
/7，internal的就不要拿来当移动硬盘，外置硬盘就不要拆下来作internal或24/7。随
便一个公司那么多pc那么多server那么多硬盘，你听说有哪家公司时不时的坏硬盘？

两家的保修都不错。
WD家2.5" 500G blue坏了，给换了个640G全新的。

的warranty才两年。一般不得3年或者5年吗？是不是seagate这款硬盘很不行啊？要是

我以前也是图便宜买了个，结果不久突然坏了，论文实验数据都在里面，一查是固件的
问题，Seagate的论坛上一大推意见，全球性的。我要求维修，结果他说你是移动硬盘
，归卖硬盘盒的管！TNND ! 看来Seagate, 市场营销做的好过它的质量和R&D，把一些
不成熟的产品，急功近利推给二级厂商，转嫁问题，踢皮球。
SSD的品牌品牌很多，Seagate在这行业也不算一线品牌，挑个知名信的过的吧，图便宜
只会吃大亏，数据的价值远超过硬盘本身！
