I am going to lose my H-1B this September and is considering transfer to F1.
But I can only find some computer training school which can issue I-20 and
also with a rolling admission. Does anyone here had experience transfered
from H1-B to F1 with a language school or computer training school? Do does
anyone hear any successful transfer to F1 with a language school or computer
training school?

the corresponding classes as "Preschool", "Pre-K" etc. Their operation hours
are usually the longest (before 8 am and after 5 pm) but you may choose to
send kids there part-time. And most daycare centers open M-F for the whole
year except for a few major holidays.
Preschool: mostly starting from 3 and private. There are some public

细到为什么要home school，你希望达到什么目的，还有你会教哪些课程，用什么样的
教材，每天几点到几点，field trip是什么，会跟哪所学校挂钩（期末参加考试什么的
，以及利用一些资源），等等等等。然后上交州教育局报批，同意了，教育局会给配备
一个监督的人，还有要求加入什么home school的group,家长也需要每天让孩子签到，
定期或者不定期的教育局的人要来检查孩子的作业，然后测试什么的。
那些home school的教材也是名目繁多，你要选择一套适合自己孩子的还真不容易啊，
别说那些课外阅读的书了。
反正真要home school，所费的经历比孩子去学校多多了。不过美国home school的比例
似乎很高啊。
我光翻了一下书单和课程要求就打退堂鼓了。不过这些书单之类的倒是挺好的，可以作
为补充阅读材料，呵呵。 |

. They are Synapse Institute and Helios School. Helios started in a house
in Palo Alto and now it is in a warehouse, I believe. Synapse is well known
for its social-emotional content. Helios, unstructured learning.
In east bay, there is one relatively new school(founded in 2005?), Baywood
Learning Center, that pushes the unstructured learning to the extreme.

因为我有朋友是给孩子home school的
所以能看出来，你的一些顾虑是因为处于对home school的不了解造成的

after school零食是随便拿，然后家长交钱。我们不心疼钱，可是小朋友太小了，而且
很喜欢零食，每次拿三个！这样太不健康了。我觉得这个after school这样给零食是不
对的，和他们说过一次不要给孩子零食，可是下次他们还给。和朋友聊，她们也是和
after school说，可是照样给，感觉after school是为了赚钱。我想每天打电话，可是
LD说怕这样after school会反感，会对孩子态度不好。所以也很犹豫。
请教有什么好的办法没有？小朋友太小说了，也控制不了自己。还会跟我说“妈妈，他
们会忘记的”。

charter school是最好的，但是要抽签，我有个美国同学说他上的是另一个地方的
charter school，说charter school好，但是需要准备很多的材料，突显孩子的能力之

请问版上妈妈charter school确实是比一般小学好嘛？现在家里默认小学是8分。
还有说是要抽签的，是公平抽签吗？还是说这里面还是要看孩子才艺之类的可以有抽签

昨天吃了个ticket，当时的情况是，开在限速40的路上，经过一个school zone，
减速了，但是后来看到牌子上还写着限速20mile，已经开进去了，
而且school zone后边接着就是红灯。
等红灯的时候警察出来了，说在school zone的速度是31，超过了限速的50%，
开了张204的罚单。 :(
罚单上有三个option：交full罚款，上法庭，去school
第一次吃ticket，不懂这些手续。
一般这种情况大家会选这三个选项里边哪一个？去法庭会要很多手续费吗？
听说有online traffic school，比上法庭和罚款都便宜，而且不伤points
但是网上搜出来的不知道可不可靠，有谁有经验吗？

My son is a first grader. We've been trying different after-school program
for him but it seems none of them is a good fit. I personally don't like
most the Chinese after school programs since none of them provides a good
outdoor playground. I know learning is important but playing is just as
importan.My son is kind of content with his school's after school program,

前几天吃了第一张罚单，非法U turn，要222刀，选择上traffic school要261刀。有个
朋友说之前的做法是，先去上庭，希望能减掉一些罚款，之后再去上traffic school。
但是我的罚单上面写着“Referral to Traffic school after Trial is at the
discretion of the Judicial Officer”，想问问有多大可能性能减掉一些罚款，同时
又能去traffic school减掉记录呢？

因为有老人照顾，老人也有文化。 考虑到3岁的小孩要开始social 和同龄小朋友玩是
最启发智力的所以还是觉得要在3岁左右上 day care或 pre-school. day care 里小孩
就是玩 和家里不同的是有其他小朋友， 但是其他小朋友有的很小。 pre-
school了小孩可以学习些规矩，也可以玩， 小朋友年龄更接近些。 2.5/3 岁的小孩开
始考虑上day care 还是 preschool? 上pre-school的话估计是教会或是私立的了。 （好
像没有公立小学的pre-school 哈。） 看到周围的小朋友很多还是上day care. 我们一直
和老人在家呆着的小朋友直接去pre-school好吗？去之前应该教些什么呢？ |

school care 请推荐？
2. Tyee 中学有什么好的after school program/clubs请推荐？如果谁有好的校外组织
，也烦请您推荐。
3. 有没有愿意share after school nanny 的或可以提供after school nanny帮忙的?

你不是劳模老黑就别看那些非ACADEMIC的排名，因为你不享受那些“低收入”的帮助。
USNEWS还是按照OPT-OUT的成绩，和穷人会如何表现排的。

Connecticut elementary school says 27 people are dead, including 18 children.
The official spoke on condition of anonymity because the investigation is
still under way.
Another official, speaking on condition of anonymity for the same reason,
says the gunman is among the dead. Sources tell ABC News' Chris Cuomo that
the shooter was 24 years old, armed with four weapons and wearing a
