(CNSNews.com) – Biometric fingerprint scanners are scheduled to be used in
the 2014 presidential election in Yemen.
The South Korean company Suprema, Inc. announced this week that it had won a
contract from the Yemeni government to provide about 4,800 of its RealScan-
D live scanners for the election, which is expected to take place in
February of next year. Money provided through the United Nations
Development Program is paying for the scanners.

是那种手持式的barcode Scanner，可以读并存储最多5个条形码。我的VB程序通过它自
带的DLL读数
据。DLL提供了下列功能：
readData()：从Scanner读数据并报告条形码个数
isDataAvailable()：查询Scanner有没有数据
clearData()：删除Scanner所有数据

请问有人有Sharp AL-1641CS 的all purpose printer/copier/scanner 吗? 我搬家时
把机器带的disk丢了, 然后换了计算机. 没有driver了, 从网上只能download driver
for printer and copier, but not scanner. 现在scanner就一直等于费了. 现在急着
要scan一些文件发出去, 有个人信息, 不想用别人的. 请问有没有哪位好心人发给我一
个 scanner 的driver? 非常感谢!!! |

And when I use some software to import image from scanner, the old
scanner driver alway start up, really annoying.
The problem is I can't find the scanner in Hardware Management or Scanner &
Camera section.
So I am wondering if I should edit regist table to remove that?
Can you give me some suggestion? Thanks! |

锐化啥的, 所以不好做。有一些scanner 厂商会提供软件进行简单远程扫描，不过很少。 |

问题是后者可以选定sector::industry::category后来扫描。而API的函数/method没看
到可以设定这个啊。

Last nite I took a flight @ LAX; as I was walking towards the security check
, I noticed there were multiple lines, eventually drifting to either metal
detector or full body scanner. I did not realize where I was going until the
full body scanner was in front of me whereas people standing in other lines
could go through the regular metal detector. I was under the impression
that it was totally arbitrary. Does anybody know why there was a difference? |

s510,用了10年了，算是这么多年来最值的投资。
fujitsu从xp一路更新software, driver,一直到最近的windows 8. 类似水平的support
世界IT产业中估计只有thinkpad.
这类scanner最大的问题是卡纸，2张纸pass成一张导致Missed scan. 你要处理几十页
文件还可以，但你如果一下扫描1万页，你得专门雇个人看着，新型号都有paper
thickness sensor,卡纸，叠纸会自动报警。
市场上其他的，比如HP就是5000刀的产品水平还不如fujitsu 500刀的，canon,
panasonic的稍像点样就上4000刀了。相比之下fujitsu属于比较亲民的价格。
别忘了这机器自带一套acrobat,光这玩意retail就得300刀了。

台LS8000，十多台4990，我说我是别系学生，能用你们的滚筒扫描不？结果不让，光让
