of being able to speak Chinese, a few of our families in SBISD have gotten
together to initiate a Mandarin Chinese Immersion Program in Spring Branch
ISD.
First of all, we need to collect a basic survey to see how many families are

Handful of good public schools and that is why magnet schools are top
choices for
many people in HISD. On the other hand, SBISD's families are normally middle
upper class with decent income, and public schools in SBISD are generally
all good; that is why people are paying premium for houses in Memorial. I

house. My recommendation below is focused on middle-class neighborhoods with
good schools.
Not all the schools in SBISD are good. Go to SBISD website, and read the
zoning map for each school. Rule of thumb is to stay south of I-10.
In my mind, the best elementary schools are: Frostwood, Bunker Hill, Rummel
Creek, Wilchester. Frostwood Elem. is national blue ribbon school and is

统计，为自己以及今后要买房子，租房子的人提供参考
从版上大家的推荐来看，有这么几个好学区，而且适合华人
Katy - KISD
Sugar Land - FBISD
Memorial - SBISD
Bellaire - part of HISD （HISD整体上很烂）
West University - part of HISD
Pearland - PISD
Clear Lake - CCISD
然后从网站上看的结果是
KISD - 10号北面的学校一般不好，南面的一般都不错，离开10号越南面越好，
exemplary 学校多,而且要看发展的情况，南面靠10号的Taylor高中现在就不行了
FBISD - 几个华人多的新区都不错，而且全美竞赛很多获奖者都是从那几个学校出来的
，但是老区学校不怎么样
SBISD - 整体下降很多，exemplary school没有几个了，不值得那么高的房价，怀疑富

发帖数: 1557 | 5 这两个邮编不具有可比性。一个在8号路里面，一个在8号路外面。房子价格差别太大了
。学区也差的很大。
Memorial Middle也属于spring branch ISD,是SBISD最好的middle school.Memorial
middle是10分，exemplary school. 至于为什么有的小区zone到memorial middle，有
的没有，我需要去咨询SBISD才能给你答复。
从学校的角度来考虑，我推荐一个10分，exemplary ES, plus memorial middle, plus
memorial high school的组合。这样你要找的小区自然就浮现出来了。 |

发帖数: 29 | 7 家里有两个孩子（3岁和1岁），近期可能会去休斯顿东面上班。研究了一下几个地区的
学区和房价：HISD的Montrose, River Oaks, Rice University, West University和
Bellaire；SBISD的Memorial (8号以东); CCISD；PDISD。Katy, Sugar Land因为上班
距离远就不考虑了。
看了各小学的两个标准：Met Satisfactory Standard on STAAR，和Met Advanced
standard on STAAR。下面多数学校前一标准都超过90%因此省略了；只列出了靠后面一
个标准来区分。研究结果如下：
HISD 查了多数学校
好学校：River Oaks: 70-75%; West University: 65-70%; Roberts: 55%; Poe: 40%;
Twain: 55%; Horn: 65%; Condit: 45%; Kolter: 45-50%.

因原来房客去外国工作中断lease, 目前寻租，1月底/2月初可以入住。租期长短及房租
可以电话商量。
2022sqft, 室内全面重新装修过，水电/电器大部分更换。后院有游泳池。看链接里的

学区- Spring Branch, 休斯顿最佳。

schools there are not that good except Nottingham Elementary. Part of the
area is zoned to Katy schools, but those schools are not that impressive
either.
一些。靠近Galeria的那块压根就不去考虑，反正考虑也白搭。话说这个memorial
drive这么个弯弯扭扭的小路还真长阿。 |

发帖数: 397 | 10 11%的黑人就CALL居多？SPRING BRANCH ISD 是HOUSTON最有钱的ISD。老师不错，硬件
不错。 Stratford HS 在 SBISD 仅次于 MEMORIAL HIGH。
Stratford HS, BELLAIRE HS 和 Dawson HS 在 GREATSCHOOL.com 都是 8 out 10. |

房看你自己怎么想了，这些房子10年前差不多就30万不到，20年前大概就15-20万。你
自己评估。我屯如果不解决这个bayou的问题，再考虑到油价，memorial和sbisd大趋势
可想而知 |
