San Diego聖地牙哥這個城市，在距離LA南方約二小時車程的位置，如果住南
一些，一個多小時就會到，所以是一個蠻方便去玩的地方，當天就可以來回沒問
題，一般想到這個城市，最有名的就是San Diego是美國Biotech生化科技產業
最集中的一個中心，在旅遊上Zoo動物園和Sea World海洋世界也極為著名，這
個城市本身也非常值得一遊。從LA過去，走5號往南，在途中還有一個Outlets，
剛好可以休息一下，就是Carlsbad Premium Outlets，在Palomar Airport Rd下往
北就會看到，隔壁是The Flower Fields，有荷蘭風車和美麗的花田，每年春季開
花時就會開放，Early March through early May。1887年落成的Neimans Restaurant
是維多利亞風格古建築，現改名為Ocean House是Carlsbad著名的懷舊餐館。

住：（旧金山市里VS 机场附近）
老有人问旧金山住在哪里好，其实用priceline和 hotel.com找旧金山市里的酒店有时
候并不贵所以还是先看看价钱要是太贵住在机场附近其实很方便的，有很多价钱好的酒
店，我一般是先看hotel.com了解价钱，然后去酒店自己的网站预订或者直接打去酒店
前台（注意是前台不是800预订的号码）有时候他们前台的价格比酒店网站价格还便宜
。一般机场附近的酒店都有shuttle去接你加上机场附近的酒店离一个华人聚集的地方
不远。要是住的话我建议你找el camino real上面between Millbare Ave 和 San
Burno Ave 之间的酒店。（用google map 可以看看都有什么选择）。还有就是可以看
看san mateo,那里有酒店提供免费的接送到机场的服务。
旧金山市里的话我觉得Japantown有两家酒店可以考虑一家是
Hotel Tomo: 1800 Sutter Street. （每间都是有日本卡通特色的房间）

发帖数: 638 | 5 Austin 和 San Diego能 比吗？一个只能进入前二十名，另一个是前十大城市。一个是
有一点山水的州府而已，另一个是著名的海边旅游胜地。答案是肯定的，因为除了
Austin，美国确实挑不出能和San Diego 比较的城市，其他城市不是太小，就是阴雨连
绵，大雪纷飞，或者年年台风。特别是IT/EE 的工作机会，只有德州才有和加州比较的
资格。
购物：德州是地大店大，walmart和target都是supercenter（卖菜，卖肉）。Austin
附近的 San Macros Outlets 全美可排上号，其它店也多且大。加上德州居民余钱多，
所以这里店里的货物都比较充足。由于很多大型连锁店货物仓库和中转站就在附近，网
购送货时间也比较快，所以消费还是比较舒服的。
食物：Austin就牛肉比San Diego 便宜，其它中国人吃的蔬菜有些还是加州运来的，价
格要贵些。德州橙子比加州更甜，皮薄一些，德州还有本地农场产的牛奶。可能德州小
规模略微传统生产的农场多些，所以Organic 店在Austin少，不像San Diego到处
都是。

我觉得你拖家带口的还是租车吧。或者租一天车的那种。
weather in SF is ok, sunny/rain, temp around 60s the best or as low as 50s.
酒店的话可以试试downtown周围的，civic center周围有点不安全。你hotel.com看看
吧。

其实在美国无论去哪里玩最好还是租车，毕竟美国公共交通还是不那么发达。要是住在
旧金山市里租车可以选择一天一天的租，比如像enterprise在旧金山市里有很多店，你可
以租一天，他们还会来你住的地方接你，完了送你回去。

office，HR说可以自己选择上班地点。我们打算先租个single family 6个月到一年，

DUBLIN分East Dublin & West Dublin. 高中都是DUBLIN HIGH (比不上SAN RAMON的高
中), East Dublin 的小学/初中要比West Dublin好很多, 基本和SAN RAMON的小学/初
中相当. 但East Dublin都是新区,树都没涨起来,显得光秃秃的. 另外新房子的院子都
很小 (Million $ House除外). San Samon老区的房子比较老,但院子大; Gale Ranch/
Windermere的新区也存在院子小的问题,但比Dublin的房子要好些.
EAST DUBLIN的BUILDER很多,档次/质量层次不起. SAN RAMON最近10年的新房基本都是
SHAPELL ( 2013年被TOLL BROTHER买去了)盖的, 质量在BUILDER中一直是偏高档的.
在San Ramon买房,Windermere的新房有SPECIAL ASSESSMENT,房地产税比San Ramon其它

发帖数: 15 | 44 最近拿到San Diego和San Jose的硬件工作机会，对San Diego不怎么了解，选择起来有
点纠结。
个人更喜欢在San Diego的工作内容，和学的背景更接近，感觉manager也更重视，工资
和San Jose接近。但是另一方面觉得湾区工作机会更多，以后跳槽方便。另外湾区中国
人基数大，虽然女生比例少但是总数多。
感觉工作机会还好，毕竟打算先拿到绿卡再说，所以也没打算很快就跳槽，所以这点上
San Diego也没那么不好。
但是没出息的说，感觉快30的人了找对象这事却是要认真考虑了。不知道San Diego那
边找对象方便么或者有金融类职位多么(不行的话从东部勾搭一个学商科的)？
诚心求过来人多给点意见，说说我的思路有啥问题没，谢谢! |

在你接触的客户中，你一律在他的姓后加san来直接称呼肯定没错
还有在谈话时，提到第三者，也是用什么san。比如，你在和李san对话时，提到王san
说过什么。
还有上面有人提到的对小孩子直呼的话可以不用san，但是用san也没有错。但是跟孩子
的家长提到他的孩子时，需要用san，对对方的尊重。
不能用san的情况是 直接称呼自己的老师，皇室成员，广义的客人等 |

Charles Jones看上去很普通，就好象一个你我身边的人，没有什么政客的油滑气息。
我们去见他是周六的下午，问他周六干嘛，说见面完了以后会去扫街。现在他最大的竞
选策略就是扫街，因为他扫街的时候才能充分了解民意，知道如何调整自己的政纲。
Charles以前是做Apple, AT&T面对企业的市场。他曾经拥有过自己的咨询公司，专门负
责外包政府工程（不是外包到美国以外，而是作为政府的供应商), 而这个公司一度每
个月的员工开销达到20万，也就是说这已经不是一家很小的小公司了。所以Charles完
全理解一个小企业主的艰辛，也最在意小企业的经营环境，反对加税。
他是非裔，但是选择在Lynbrook区居住，已经20年了，子女都上公校，从Lynbrook毕业
，他是Murdock区的区委会会长，也做过当地体育活动的义工教练，是一个扎根社区的
居民。
